  1. Crazy how seeing animals grow up can lead you to know who is who. My family has many chickens , each have a unique feature in them

  2. Hitting an animal on the road should carry the same penalty as hitting a human. I hate people who canโ€™t take 2 seconds to watch the road. Probably on their phone. Smh.

  3. Animals have a great sense about who they can trust and who they can't trust…..you are a very good person for Carl the crane to bring his wife, junior, Kevin, Kyle and then for junior to bring his family to see you.

  4. No, the crane is not โ€œintroducingโ€ the babiesโ€ฆsheโ€™s saying, โ€œyoโ€ฆhey, you who thinks I like you and am communicating human emotionsโ€ฆtouch my little ones and Iโ€™ll hurt youโ€ฆreal bad.โ€

  5. I believe that strange visiting birds are ancestors coming to say hello. I have a pair of mallards that come hang out every spring that I'm pretty sure are my grandparents coming by to see what I've done with their old place, and a blue heron that drops by sometimes that I'm pretty sure is one of my uncles.

  6. At the other house that I used to live in, there was a set of cranes we used to feed there. Once every couple years that would bring their babies up and show them off. And feed at the pile of food we set out everyday. It was so adorable to see the little babies hopping around.

  7. What a lovely story! It wasn't even a situation of her looking after Carl as a baby and him returning, he just chose to be with her and bring his family. Such a shame about Kyle, it can't always be a happy ending for most chicks, but it's good to know his two older brothers are doing well and that Carl and Carla will continue to raise chicks in future.

  8. They probably knew she she would be the kind of person to protect them and put a sign up so they kept coming to her. They trust her.

  9. When I was growing up my family had a pond in our back yard and a crane would visit it every year. Unfortunately my parents had it expanded and it no longer held water so the crane stopped visiting. Very cool birds.

  10. they leave out the part where they fed him and that is the ONLY reason that an animal like that will keep returning let alone put its family at risk… animals can be affenctionate but they are not risk takers for no reason
