Laptop Omen 6600m new install and flickers on the second screen all updated tho. creates crashes.
Since Amazon has so many issues with fakes, where would you recommend that I buy a real Club3D (or other reputable brand) cable?
I feel like I learned a lot from this video, but by the end I still don't know where I can go for 100% certainty that I'm getting a "certified" cable. Is that even possible from today's retailers?
I'm having so many issues with my 7900XTX currently, loosing signal and black screening, I already bought a new DP cable but I will get a better one see if that helps
I love your passion in the work you do. You explain things at a decent level. đ§đ
my flicker issue is fixed, all i did was reseat the cable. man i feel dumb thinking it was a software issue
My screen blinks when watching youtube videos, but not when playing games. How to explain this? I have not changed monitor cables.
I have an AMD Radeon 5700 XT, one monitor with HDMI and one with Display port, could this be causing my flickering? Honestly te cables are kinda old, it just begging to happen a couple days back with an graphic drivers update
Great company, I highly recommend their KVMs. Unfortunately, there is a 25' cable run between my PCs and the 75" monitor in my living room, with an HDMI AV Receiver in between. I would be willing to shop for a DisplayPort AV Receiver, but nobody makes them. =(
I have a bar of distortion across bottom of my screen, recently started, I've changed cables used both dp/and HDMI ports, Rx 6650xt, ,MSI 27 g272 18:33
just had, maybe still have(hope not) this issue where i launch a game and it just blinks black and back to game. turned off something under the display settins in the amd toolbar program(amd pro thing) and it worked. ill buy a new wire and turn that setting back on and check it out i guess. Thanks for the vid
mine at boot doesnt really flicker…it feels like it changes the resolution too fast like 3 times (causing the bios screen to skip and then win os start to boot up) (nvidia didnt do that) i tried cheap different hdmi cables even displayport 2 different monitors…same symptom…(or that is the way the amd gpu boots up? )
have a problem of adrenalin custom color settings being reset to default whenever display wakes from sleep.
does adrenalin choose lowest link speed that will (hopefully) support your current display frequency, resolution, color depth?
the drivers install fine for my new rx 6750 xt however, the installer (i tried 22 adrenalin also, and DDU etc) has weird graphical artifacting on title bar, the ads, and the percentage done. the card works fine in windows and gaming however.
How many discord servers u mod?
My pixio px277 flickers only when play games. I even got one of those club3d cables and it still does it. Even with different video cards.
You explain things perfectly in a way any person could understand! This has given me some more ammo to throw at my troubleshooting intermittent black screen while gaming, thank you!
I can't wait to replace my generic brand DP cable. Blanking flickering screen… terrible.
Does anyone know why my AMD metrics overlay sometimes randomly moves from one location on the screen to another location, or it flickers, or it disappears for a a few seconds and then comes back ? I cant find any info. Drivers are up to date ? This happens while not gamming. Thanks.
I've been having an issue with my Radeon RX 6700 XT MECH 2X 12G and each of it's subsequent RMA replacements. The displayport itself (to the right of the HDMI) seems to completely shut off after maybe 2 months of use and I cant get it to operate again. After the initial card was "repaired", the issue came back in the time in took me to reinstall the drivers for this GPU, and shortly thereafter while I was fighting with MSI to RMA it again, the second displayport I moved the second monitor cable over to also shut down permanently. I don't seem to have any issue with the HDMI or the displayport the VR headset is plugged into. After the repaired card was RMA'd for a replacement, about 2 months later (about the same usage period as the initial card) the displayport in the same position has died again.
And when I say dead, nothing displays on this port, even when booting the PC back up. Ive tried everything I can find but cant find a way to reactivate the ports. Wiping and reinstalling the drivers with DDU doesnt fix it. Im pretty sure its a hardware issue. Is it possible for a displayport cable itself to kill a displayport on the GPU?
No, its not the cable. Tested multiple, expensive cables. AMDs drivers just suck.
OMG Dude, this video is life saver! I just ordered a Club DP1.4 cable, and the difference is incredible…for like $15. Had all kinds of black out / screen refresh issues on my AMD system. Totally fixed now. Thank you Mr Lvl1 Tech.
it remembers me when i got the vega 64 and 144hz monitor. i rma'ed monitor, because a hdmi had no problems, in the end i looked up the vesa table for certified products, only club3d was certified then. and mine has integrated ferrit cores. after some months ive looked up the table again, and some more cables were certified.
This was fantasic! I appreciate how you explained everything, even the technical details, in relatively simple easy to understand language. I've been fighting with this blackout issue on my Radeon 6700XT for months now, and finally have some hope that I can fix it without replacing the whole unit. đ THANK YOU!!
I'm getting random white flashes/flickering, not black. I did what you said in the comments and put my screens refresh rate to 60Hz. Still getting white flashes. I'm wondering if it's AMD GPU drivers that are causing it.
I've found most of the HDMI hdmi 2.1 cables (used for ps5 xbox series x and Radeon 6000 and above) do not work, going for cables sold in Europe rated 8k 120Hz 48Gbps work.
Symptoms are you attempt to output 120hz and it can not, and monitor-TV turning loosing signal for a second like some sort of pulse is interfering with it. I think the cheaper ones lack shielding or earths because it took me a long time to work out a properly rated cable solved the "interference" issue.
Thank you so much for this video. I never paid attention to the cables I used and thought they were all created equally. After watching this video I invested in a Club3d Displayport 1.4 to HDMI 2.0b cable. And just like that, the monitor that I was about to replace became unbroken. Lesson learned! New sub here, binge-watching everything you have.
On a side note, as an auto tech, there is a difference, when it comes to cheap quality wiring, ie., resistance to voltage issues.
waste of time, dont watch.
new everythinf still flickering
Wow I thought my gpu had failed and it was this.
I'm currently having an issue where if I'm playing a game and or watching a video (specialy twitch streams with ads running) my screen will flicker or sometimes just go black for like a min or so. And the amd software will say sorry unexpected error with wattman or somthing. Any idea what's going on there. No over clock on anything
Itâs amazing that this video solved all the issues I was having with a new card. Bought new 1.4 vesa certified cables and also separated them from all of my other cables to reduce noise. No more random flickering, lock ups, or black screens. Absolutely insane something so simple can cause so many problems.
I have an RTX 2060 on an MSI A320M Pro Max mobo and I have an issue using HDMI. The screen blanks for a second using some applications when I exit the app or when I hover over certain areas of the screen.
I get a single flash when I scroll down or up to get a video on or off screen. I don't think it's the cables since te computer was first put together less than a year ago, just got a new screen and it started when I updated my driver to the latest version.
Go figure
i'm running amd 6950 XT and 240 Hz msi monitor and have screen tearing. i have tried everything and it didn't fix it. any advice before i return the pc?
