2. Grew up eating Ricobene's. It's a place that's criminally underrated; in my mind having the best pizza crust for their deep dish. It's really something that only a Chicago native would know if they're from the South Side or if you've been living in Chicago long enough.

13. Love everything about your Chicago food videos so far but you missed 3 great Chicago sandwiches, understandable though as there is just so much amazing food here…
    1. Gym Shoe Sandwich, combination of a Roast Beef, Corned Beef and Gyro
    2. Southside Sweet Steak, kinda like a Philly Cheesesteak but definitely it's own thing
    3. Jibarito, a steak sandwich on 2 fried plantains instead of bread
    You might need to make another trip here lol

16. In canada, they call the breaded steak sandwich a "Veal sandwich" They use thin sliced eye of round and try to pass it off as "VEAL"

23. the breaded steak sandwhich hits differntly on a cold chicago winter day. youve been outside its a blizzard its windy its cold you just walked 5 blocks you enter ricobenes get a hot steamy savory steak sammy and fall into euphoria from the level of comfort it brings. j.p garzianos italian sub is the best in the goddam nation whats crazy is that they gave them so little meat which i dont get why my subs from there are so loaded with meat 2x the amount did you guys ask for less or did they not like the camera lol

24. Chicago native here. I have spent most of my career working in the "Loop" district for many decades. I have eaten at most of the places reveiwed. Ricobene's is at the top of my list including Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Pk. for sure. Cheers Mark!
