  1. I’m from NSW Australia 🇦🇺 So sad we don’t see sparrows anymore, the Indian minor birds have killed them all in my area. If I ever had to save one by chance I don’t think I could release it where I live.

  2. Sadly I doubt very much he or she would have survived because when hand rearing birds they become imprinted
on you which means they see you as their mum.

Wild birds sparrows normally live for only 2 years but in captivity live much longer in fact I had one that I kept for 5 years because the RSPB Royal Society for the protection of birds told me there is no way it can survive in the wild now it has imprinted on you !

You see when you hand rear anything wild at home with the kids or family pets, the bird flying to members of the family or family pet the bird once freed is going to think this is normal.

But the minute this bird or any bird is released after being imprinted on you and tamed it doesn’t stand a chance of survival at all in the wild if it was to fly towards someone or land on another animal a cat or dog or if it went flying towards someone.

The RSPB will always give you advice but sadly any bird that you have hand reared cannot possibly defend itself in the wild.

This poor little bird ok had a chance of survival because it was hand reared.

Always speak to people who are qualified experts in this field about any wild bird or wild animal who will be glad to give you good advice or tell you which rescue centre to take them to where there are bird rescue centres.

  3. This just goes to show that all life has value. What a lovely kind girl to save this tiny little sparrow that absolutely would have perished without her help. Releasing him out into the wild when he was ready was the right thing to do. He kept coming back until he knew he could make it on his own. I wonder if Jack may have in fact been a Jill? ❤🇦🇺

  4. God bless you wonderful, loving person! You saved Jack and even though it must have been very tough, you did the right thing, working until he could return to his natural habitat with other sparrows

  5. Thank you for caring for the beautiful bird 🙏 My parents raised a wild rabbit after finding him lying next to his dead mother on a road, they released him back into the wild when he was old enough/ready and the following spring he returned to introduce his partner and their babies. He/they returned every year until one day he/they stopped coming.

  6. Aww, Jack is so adorable!! 🥰😍🥰 so happy he was rescued. And the dog is cute as well! 😁🥰🥰. Haha at 1:27, the corner of the cushion behind Jack at first glance made me think he had a crest like a little sparrow cardinal 😂. He’s so precious 😊
