  1. Okay but there is reputable breeders who test for these health issues and don’t overbreed and DONT breed for money. And then there’s these backyard breeders just breeding for looks and money. The difference is that reputable breeders will always 100% of the time take their dog back if the owner can’t take them anymore. Reputably bred dogs DO NOT end up in shelters. That being said, adopt OR shop responsibly.

EDIT: Responsible breeders only have maybe 1 or two litters a year, with different mothers each time. They absolutely don’t make money off of the puppies. The break even if anything. After all of the vet care, basic puppy care and health tests for each puppy, the amount paid by the prospective owners pay that money back to the breeder. Responsible breeders are trying to keep breeds alive. These breeds have jobs they were bred for and love to do.

It is also a complete myth that mutts don’t have the genetic health issues that purebreds do. That’s makes zero sense. They can absolutely inherit health issues from both parents or one or none. There’s no guarantee. I’m more worried about these “designer dogs” being popular

  2. Thank you for raising this awareness. I did an animal studies course. I learnt how dogs especially the flat faced ones have lots of breathing issues. They were specifically bred to look that way. It's sad.

  3. white hoes are the devil man .. she went out of her way to select the “perfect dog” down to the looks .. and now she’s talking about how’s she’s gonna adopt .. she’s sick i’m the head

  4. People don't realise that getting an animal from breeders most likely always come with health issues.
No fault of the pets at all, and the humans buying them are also victims here because they can't resist the pet there after, breeders say whatever for money.

For the love of God, when getting a pet, go to a shelter, there's so many in need of homes.

  5. we have to bring back the slimness in this breed, its not natural and the problems will increase in their genetics… look at old history pictures of the terrier breed, slim and trim

  6. In a way, Oso's condition made you realize that amazing human being that you can be. A person that can recognize your own mistakes and wrong choices. And the best part is that you told your journey to the world. I'm very mooved and really happy to see that Oso made you help other dogs. His existence made a difference. Love to you all.

  7. Same thg happened for me and my Frenchie…..i love her with all my heart, but i will adopt in the future….but she is still perfect to me ❤️

  8. I’ve been saying this to my husband. So many breeder puppies up for sale. I said where do they all go? Then shelters are loaded with cats and dogs. I’ve had three Siamese cats. All young when we adopted them (around 3 yrs old) from the shelter. They were all great cats.

  9. My partner's late dog was the most perfect being on this earth and he was a rescue. The amount of love that dog gave us is impossible to count. He was an angel.
    Please, adopt.

  10. I get your message but your money was so well spent with OZO, he needed you an intelligent care giver , I'm so glad you have him and he is obviously so in love with his family

  11. Idk how much "research" she did but I think it's common knowledge that, that breed is know for its medical issues starting with the short nose.

  12. I couldn’t agree more we need to stop keeping these dodgy greedy breeders who care ZERO about the animal or their health and start rescuing !!!❤ god bless you and yours
