  1. Also just wanted to add, pitties are absolute sweethearts, it's humans that cause bad behavior in them, they are not normally a dangerous animal. In fact they are called Nanny Dogs for a reason, they are the best at taking care of kids and other animals. If this dog would like a friend in his house, try a kitten. Next to German Shepherds, pitties love cats a lot. I've seen pitties babysit all sorts of baby animals on a farm, letting the little ones crawl all over them.

  2. I am so very glad that you took the time to train this dog to be a good pupper, especially as a therapy dog. I trained therapy dogs for over 20 years before it became well known, I'm 72 now. I used to take them to many places, including a Scottish Festival that had bagpipes to get them used to all sorts of noises to ignore when necessary. Your pupper doesn't have to worry about that, lol. My sister-in-law trained service dogs for the blind, but she trained a deaf Great Dane of her own too. When animals are white they are often deaf, and some breeders will put them down. Other breeders will take them to the shelters instead of resorting to killing an animal. Then there are breeders like the one of Great Danes that Gloria was friends with, that try to find better solutions. Like finding owners that are good trainers and letting them have a pup for free. Gloria took the deaf white male along with a hearing harlequin female sister so she could train both at the same time in order for the male to learn easier. She did sew jingle bells onto the male's collar so she could hear him when the deaf male was in their back property usually with the horses (our families were in the country with many acres on each property) so she could find him. But the male watched his sister follow hand commands (the family always trained by hand command along with words in English or German for animals of all species) and would do the same. Our animals normally would do good for praise more than treats, but with a deaf dog it's always better to add a little food treat too, until the loving you show them appeals to them more. Again bravo for taking the extra time and effort to help create a best boy ever. Here's hoping your deaf relatives enjoy the pup's comfort as much as the hearing family. 😊

  3. I love the way he sleeps like that. What a wonderful man for recognising Cole’s shining light. Thank you Christopher you are an amazing beautiful person, bringing so much Joy to those of us who are a little bit broken too. 🙏🏼🇬🇧

  4. Oh Cole is precious and the 2 of you are the BEST team! I want to find a dead puppy, but found a 4 yr old. Things went well, until I gave her a rub down and thn patted her butt! She became aggressive twds me and the “Meet n’greet” was done! I’m so sad right now, but I’ve given me inspiration! Tu❤

  5. Crying my eyes out, what a beautiful story! Once I went to urgent care with a kidney stone, I have ASD and told the doctor though I am not screaming I can assure you I am in level 10 pain. He brought in a therapy dog for me to pet while I waited for the toradol to work. He’ll never know the effect he had on me treating me physically and emotionally ❤

  6. I adopted a deaf boxer cross when she was 3 years old with lots of issues as she had been mistreated. We have now lived with her for 3 years and she has come on massively from being scared adn nervous to being a cow at times lol. She has developed her own personality. She leaves life and aslo she is the best recall. I take the view that humans created lots of issues with her adn it is for us to make those issues go away. I would not hesitate to get another deaf dog in the future. I have rescued dogs for the past 25 years. I just feel you need to love them and give them the best food and also make sure they are stimulated. Most of the issues with dogs are lazy owners who do not walk them. I take my dog out 7 days a week twice a day. I have never missed a day.

  7. Cole so cracks me up when he's sleeping, little legs up, butt up,..so cute, and so smart, look how he looks at Chris when he's talking to him, looks him right in the face, directly,..pays very, very close attention,..Godspeed, long healthy, happy life to Cole, all his kind, and family,….

  8. What a dream team. Cole is so happy and loving. He obviously spreads the love in bucket loads. He's got a better life than most dogs regardless of being deaf. Bless his wee heart 💕
