Rescuing a Skin-and-Bones Boa Constrictor

Rescuing a Skin-and-Bones Boa Constrictor
Spread The Viralist

In today’s video, we picked up an abandoned boa constrictor that we were told “might already be dead”. My finger fit INSIDE his ribcage, he was so thin. We also suspect a collapsed lung… Watch as we bring Christian back to health!

  1. Glad he recovered so well. I must admit I clicked to both check if he survived and to see what an emaciated snake looked like. A bit of morbid curiosity, but also genuine concern. Hope Christian has a good life with Brooke.

  2. People that have no business with snakes really tend to overexagerate😂I once went to pick up a cornsnake wich had a greyish color and those people thought it was a black mamba😅

  3. Honestly I agree with you anything the landlord happened to do wrong is not his fault he clearly doesn’t know a lot about snakes which are fairly niche in terms of pets and since he didn’t get it it was not his responsibility to look after it. The blame falls purely on the previous owner.

  4. As someone who loves my boas, and check on them/top up water etc too pften, I just cant imagine. Boas are so smart and sociable, and also survivors like many other reptiles. Thank you guys for all you do. This was brutal to watch but I hope maybe it communicated to others what happens when you abandon an animal.

  5. So sad to see that they weren't any resources or outreach available before this point. Amazing to see this snake particularly a boa be this patient and gentle. Not my experience. Such a beautiful snake. This animal is in such great hands

  6. Nice to see this rescue. Currently super bummed my 26 year old Het albino corn snake passed away 😢 so weird not having my buddy slithering around while hangout and game and drink my Morning cofeee 😢 I’ll miss you wobbles

  7. I love your animal rescue videos, just seeing these beautiful animals regain their strength through your care is super heartwarming to see

  8. The only time I've seen a hollow snake is after my boa constrictor gave birth, she hadnt eaten for several months as she was too full of babies to have room for food, the hollow look was only in her back half though.

She is 16 now and currently weighs 16,000 grams, when her boyfriend was still alive he was a lot smaller at 7,000 grams

  9. I love this channel but this video is the one that made me frown the most… you can't keep a boa that size in a bin that size with no enrichment or a cave for 7 months. Especially when you are a business with lots of space, employees and money and you can totally afford to buy bigger bins for those poor recovering boas.

  10. It's awesome you were able to bring him back to a decent weight & condition considering his advanced age !! I hope he lives longer in the care of someone who will take care of & love him !!

  11. It looked like he was hugging Emily in a way there at the end. He knows they saved his life. What a sweet boy. Glad he was saved.
