India has been battered by a series of devastating natural disasters in recent months.

With the bridge destroyed, hundreds fled their homes to escape the surging waters.
Over 50 people lost their lives in the natural disasters.
Sadly, experts say such catastrophic natural disasters are becoming more frequent and more destructive due to climate change.
This leads to increased severity of storms, flooding, droughts and other natural disasters across India.
The government is struggling to provide adequate relief and rebuild from the damage caused by these repeated natural disasters.
Entire villages have been under water for weeks at a time.
Roads, bridges, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed by the storms and flooding.
As climate change accelerates, even worse natural disasters loom in the future.
Improving forecasting, warning systems and shelters will help protect people when the next natural disasters strikes.
