6. What a beautiful, yet heartbreaking story. I’m so glad that you adopted Diva and that she now has a new friend. I know that losing Winston must’ve been an enormous loss for your family. It is so sweet and tender to adopt an elder dog, who needed a loving home. I cannot imagine having a dog for five years and then leaving it behind. I understand it happens, but it is inconceivable to me.

10. Omg. When Rigby passed, Lexi was heartbroken. She wouldn’t leave her bed for three months. She passed about 6mo after he did. Both lived long full lives. We hope we have them a happy home. Their gamboling around above waiting for us at the end of the rainbow bridge.

14. Greyhounds have often been abused during their lifetime.when they can’t run anymore they get dumped. My sister-in-law rescued greyhounds and loved them to death.Some were unbelievably loving.Just a word of caution, one of her dogs was was so friendly. He would come and lay his head on my lap just to get petted.She was having a good time playing With him when she did or said suddenly threw him back to that terrible time and he attacked and chewed up a portion of her face.This is just a warning. If you rescue a greyhound check his background especially if you have children.
