18. I live in Alberta. So what about the snow? I'm old enough to have seen snow on the ground in every month of the year. The TOWN of Jasper is in the mountains, so normal weather systems influence the type and amount of precipitation. And it's sooo shocking to have a weak hurricane make landfall on the Gulf Coast? 41. The snow storm was not in the middle of summer but the last days of spring. The summer begins with the summer solstice on the 21st of June. Just thought I would point that out. Becuase these events are tied to seasonal weather patterns. That's why the Canadian fires were so unusual for springtime. But Canada did not receive their usual snow accumulation this year and caused an extremely dry spring. Thank you for your updates. Hoping you and your son are doing well. Take care.
