Thank you Takis for this wonderful update on all the animals seen tonight. Markos looks great protecting his area, Charlie, the black horse, Rico & Pipis, Xenia & her pile of puppies & all the dogs…. happy tails. Our kittens are amazing & our shy puppies are doing better & are accepting love. Thank you Takis for your endeavors on behalf of all those in your care. Your team, the volunteers & the supporters of the shelter do incredible work. Such an awesome team…bravo to all of you!

I appreciate this rescue shelter and appreciate everything that Takis does. There is no human being like him on earth. Unfortunately, the shelter gives flea and tick pills to these animals that are already sick. I hope Takis will change his policy after reading the information below:
"Flea & tick products containing the potent pesticide, Isoxazoline, cause a reaction in 2 OUT OF 3 DOGS! Reactions include seizures, behavioural issues, muscular/balance issues, and even death. Be wary of flea collars, too. These products can contain some of the most dangerous insecticides, including tetrachlorvinphos, carbaryl, and propoxur."
Please think ABOUT what you are doing. If you are giving pills for fleas and ticks, the only way to kill the ticks and fleas is by poisoning your pets’s blood stream with the above pesticides . . . This is how the fleas and ticks die. They suck the blood of your pet, which you injected with poison and the fleas and ticks die. You are harming your pets by using such toxic medicine. Please hand-remove the ticks with proper tools. Pease opt for more natural remedies that do not harm your pet. Please read and understand the pesticides in the flea and tick pills. Please do the research.
Microchipping is dangerous and can cause cancer. "There have been many cases of tumors and several studies documenting them. Research collected from 1996 to 2006 shows that . 8% to 10% of microchipped animals developed malignant tumors in the implant area." PLEASE THINK! The quickest and safest way to find your pet is with a collar tag.
For the health of everyone’s pets. Please read the book “Food Pets Die” For by Ann N. Martin. Don't use the recipes in the back though because they are not balanced. Also, look up Susan Thixton. Dogs and cats can live much longer than what you think is long. Kibble keeps animals alive but the animal is not thriving. It creates all sorts of degenerative diseases (diabetes, arthritis, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, cancer, kidney and declining cognitive function and more) that show up later and owners put it down to old age. Feeding kibble, a highly processed food, puts your pets in a state of constant inflammation. Please educate yourself and don't be brain-washed by big commercial food companies and Big Pharma that fund vet schools. Kibble is dead food with no living enzymes. It is not human grade food. You need to feed your animals human grade food. Kibble is made from euthanized animals including your pets, from diseased and slaughtered animals from road kills and they even add feces and a lot worse stuff. There have been many recalls regarding pentobarbital (the drug used for euthanizing pets) found in commercial pet food. Big pet food companies lace the kibble with addictive stuff such as fats and more, to MAKE your animals eat the garbage, otherwise pets would not eat the stuff. Take control of your pets’ lives and your own because food companies do it to people too. PLEASE FEED YOUR PETS A SPECIES APPROPRIATE DIET, which is basically a raw food diet. If you do not know what this is, please research and educate yourselves then pass on the information to other people. You can start with Dr. Karen Becker DVM regarding raw feeding for pets. Never stop educating yourselves in regards to proper nutrition for your pets. Remember, cats are obligate carnivores.
