Very sad and my heart goes out to him and his family. I’ve been a ski instructor for years and years and seen lots of wrecks and a few fatal. This is why you gotta make sure you have the skills to attempt flips especially on an unforgiving jump like so. The reason it’s unforgiving is not necessarily the jump itself, but he was attempting a back flip off this jump and it’s not meant for it, and it lands right back on a flat plane if you jump it to fast
This is sad.. I stopped snowboarding id stay about 2 years ago because of a nearly fatal crash I got in.. my heart goes out this this guy.
Who tf build this jump? They need to hire people with minimum clue about what they are doing..

Damn that was horrible. It’s unfortunate, but a benefit of this video is to use it as an example of why you should not hesitate. I’m an intermediate and I think had he not swung his arms around and just tucked his body in he would’ve rotated more. At least enough to not land that badly. I understand that panic kicks in though. This is a consequence of panic though.
