24. If only we could've seen Top Gear do a bit on ULEZ like they did on speedcameras at 6:00. ULEZ is London's 'Ultra Low Emission Zone' which you must pay to enter if you have a petrol or diesel car. It's free for motorcycles, hybrids, and EVs. However, entering it for one moment with something not permitted and you get fined. My partners mother has been fined for going in then out of the zone about 15 meters due to traffic and they do not stop pestering for the fine amount.

    The fine isn't what gets me, it's this. Our 1.0l Fiat 500xl is banned from the ULEZ zone, but a brand new 6.0l W12 Bentley is permitted to enter the ULEZ zone with no payment required. So is a Lamborghini Urus, Ferrari 812s, Maseratis, 6.75l V12 Rolls Royces, all excempt from the ULEZ charge and will not be fined for entering. This is because all these expensive, super poor economy (25mpg as the most, some are less than 6mpg) cars belong to the ultra wealthy who are able bribe their friends in parliment to exempt the types of cars they drive and own in London so they don't have to pay. No 'normal' person is gonna own these cars, so they don't have to worry.

    I think this is blatant corruption and shows that Rishi Sunak, who is our current PM and has recently expanded the ULEZ area by dozens of miles in radius, is not at all interested in getting emissions lowered and is only interested in making his and his wealthy buddies happy and to make their lives easier. Not to mention his wife's life given she still doesn't pay a PENNY in income tax or for her property as she claims it isn't in the UK. I fucking hate our government. These are the same people who partied, danced, drunk, and celebrated during covid lockdown 'work event's whilst our grandparents died alone in hospitals because we're not allowed to visit them due to covid restrictions. Utter scum, they do not represent our country.

28. Oh how I always loved this show as a kid and now I'm driving the very first car they talk about in this video. I've only cleared like 3 overboost errors already, got 4 heart attacks at the weird noises it starts to make sometimes, get mad every time I want to go left at a roundabout and my turnsignal turns off when I actually turn right to get on the roundabout, occasionally have to press the windows button like 5 times because it decides it will only close like 1/5th of the window while pressing, or my airbag light comes on randomly when I move my seat. Needless to say I love that Alfa and I've had it for all but half a year lmaoo

I went to pick my Landover up from the showroom, I test drove it, and it broke down within a few hundred yards, from the showroom, the salesman couldn't get it going again so my wife walked back to pick up our old car, got our deposit back and went and bought a BMW X3, which has spent more time in the garage due to constant faults, I think it must have been made in the same factory, we have bought a little Hyundai i20 and never had a single fault in 2 years.

35. 40:55 it’s worth remembering here that this scene is 3 episodes (so 3 weeks) after Hammond talked about the Jet Dragster crash on the show and the boys promised to never bring it up again. So it only took 3 weeks before they went back on their word. 😂
