Magnificent creature. Guys a bit of a weirdo though.
Too bad they really don't live very long , barely a year lifespan
And this is why I no longer eat brazzo de pulpo.
Hoe did you know the octopus was a male?
Awesome 👍
Such incredibly cool creatures 💕✌️
After the giant crab dinner, pretty sure we know what he had to do!
It’s called octopi not octopuses
two esteemed gentlemen having a conversation
puh…big one
Each sucker DOES have it's own brain, they are truly the closest thing to high IQ aliens we will ever meet.
Um…still an advocate of hands off. Just our presence down there, much less what we dump into our oceans, is bad enough.
To all new divers out there, when your instructor tells you during your training to not touch anything, it means to NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. Don't know who this clown is, but I'd put him back on the boat if I saw him doing this.
Beautiful moment
He’s the one going up to the octopus that was minding his business but yet wants to give him the no no finger when it got to interested back.
Octopus trying to feel you if you can be eaten.
Hope Mr. Octopus finds a pretty lil Miss Octopus!
So beautiful. 🥹 my absolute favorite animal. 🥰♥️🐙
I reckon he could not equate the touch and feel of your suit and helmut with any flesh and blood creature.👽
“It felt like an interaction between two thinking beings.”
“Once he realised I wasn’t food or sex he left.”
I feel like the lack of curiosity beyond base desires isn’t a sign of great intelligence. I’m sure they are super intelligent, but still.
They are delicious to eat. But now I have second thoughts.
They are so smart, they need more study .
I don't think people should be eating any octopi.
I love the way the octopus stuck his suckers against his diving mask
i am subscribed on two different devices. Dodo, we love you.
You gotta Date tonight baby ❤
SubhanAllah. All praise to the Creator.
Sad that octopuses have such a short life. The Giant Pacific Octopus only lives about 5 years. Other species are 1 to 3 years.
"It felt like a true interaction between two thinking beings."
*Octopus boops human* ^^
What a experience ❤
Amazing
Caboose: 😨 You told me thats another arm.
Octopus: Ever heard of tentacles arms in anime.
Caboose: I don't think I want to watch that. 😢
That is so amazing ! It's such a metaphor for life in general 😊
"Sex maybe? No? Ok, have a great day."
Seeing animals curious, is so amazing to me!!
Octopus are so beautiful
very intelligent!
I love Calamari too.
The esexual tension is crazy
I bet the octopus was fascinated by the different textures & colours of the diver & all his gear. The good part of social media is how we’re getting to see more & more of these amazing interactions between species. I think this is the way the world is meant to be. Humans being curious but kind & making life better for other creatures when we have an opportunity, not being cruel, destructive, selfish & greedy.
With all of that scuba equipment on he probably thought you were an alien, too. Beautiful video! ❤❤
Thanks for sharing this video and story.
What an amazing and truly rare experience!!!
Thank you for sharing it with the world!!!🩷
Investigate me with his “special arm he uses to meet females”! Oh yeah I bet😂 that’s a great line I might try it sometime
What a privilege.
Octopus has that rizz game
That was beautiful!
I wonder if the octopus has any recognition that the clothing and equipment are not the same as the organic parts of the diver, or if it is all one strange being made of various fleshy and other weirder materials to him.
Either version is probably an amazing thing for the octopus to try to figure out.
It's extraordinary that animals with such short lifespans are so intelligent. The longest living species, the Giant Pacific Octopus, lives no more than 3-5 years. Makes me wonder what, why and how its learning abilities are so time condensed.
You sure that's his special arm
Heartbreaking, in a beautiful way.
Shame on people who eat these intelligent creatures, or any animal 😢
