What a Chad
The top of a baby bottle is called a nipple, not a pacifier.
That looks like the most boring environment EVER! I hope no creature lives there full time.
Logisch, dieses Tier hat auch die Anatomie dazu, ist also nicht verwunderlich . Jedes Lebewesen auf seine Weise. derlich.
Octo the creepy 😂😅😂
What if they are acting dumb to hide their true abilities
brilliant
The music was so annoying the poor Octopus couldn't concentrate.
Interesting video, seriously annoying music!
His handler was a woman.
The handler must rewatch the video, the octopus did give the lid about a quarter turn at 3.23, this loosened the grip on the seal as it is pinched between the ring screw and clear bottle, thus ms/Mr octopus was able to pull it off. Mostly luck due to its trials not a concise choice on its part
Scientist: The only way the octopus will be able to get the fish is to unscrew the top
Octopus: Hold all my beers
He proved that there's often more than one way to solve a problem.
I was trained as a diver in the US Navy and have had many encounters with octopus in the ocean. I am firmly convinced they are of a species that originated somewhere else in the universe, came to our planet before the dawn of man and liked it so much, they stayed.
Are you actually trying to cause hearing loss with that intro?
The smartest animal would realize, humans are testing its intelligence and act dumb to avoid further investigations
Nice Civ III soundtrack.
Good job, my clever octopus !
I wonder if this was a wild or born in captivity octopus. They would have a few different learned skill sits I believe.
Octopus: Meh!!! Screw the screw-top😆
that's probably a physics problem: the octopus could reduce a LOT of force by pulling equally in, in all force vectors
"Brute force – if it's not working, you're not using enough of it" 😀
Where is will there is a way
Yeah guys…brute force is a sign of intelligence…come on. Not saying they aren't intelligent…but this video…nothing to see here. He did the same thing just about any creature will do to get food – he tore apart the container. Assuming he 'stepped back to re-assess'…what fact is this based on? Ah, right, nothing except he looks like he's stepping back and 'thinking'….this ain't science.
Its cruel to keep this intelligent creature in a boring tank
What is up with the audio on this channel?
For all who says "If octopi could walk on land…" One species, from Northern Australia, can (because of course Australia).

Put your kids inside and leave the octupus live it's life free
Why would it occur to him to unscrew the top? Would it occur to you if you'd never seen a screw-top bottle before?
Good video, terrible music
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn …
I hate he has no hiding spot ;(
It’s like literally every cell in an octopus is a brain cell 😂
Next time, let him WATCH you screw on the top…see if he unscrews it them.
That wasn't unexpected at all. I found it far more likely the octopus would take the nipple off the bottle rather than try to unscrew it.
I have a theory…creatures such as this are far smarter than we give them credit for.wouldnt be surprised if they were aliens.
My dog would have figured that out a lot faster, and it's an idiot. Just bite the top off the thing!
Gah they're cool
I learned that the octopus should be in the sea, not captive, for you to “learn “ about them! You can watch them, in the see! Spend your time stopping the mukbang cruelty, where they eat live creatures, like snakes, octopus, and worse!
Imagine the terror of the fish as its nightmare slowly made its way to him. While these experiments are interesting they are also unnecessarily cruel. A dead fish could have been used.
