8. I love beagles so much, but I wouldn’t exactly call them them an intelligent dog breed. They follow their nose everywhere. No matter how well trained they are, if they smell a rabbit or something generally interesting they’ll follow the trail for miles. But they’ll show up again after a few hours, likely covered in mud.

29. Actually have 2 beagles, one is pretty calm, but gets excited when food is involved, and her nose is the greatest. The other one is really hyper, will not settle down, loves to play, and isn't that gentle.
