  4. Can we discuss the level of panic in all the Salt Lake Cityites during the tornado? Not a single soul in Utah knows how to identify a tornado forming or even what to do in a tornado. It’s amazing only 1 person died. No one knew to take cover, our news anchor was in shock… it was chaos.

  5. This JUST HAPPENED. A tornado hit downtown Fort Lauderdale a few days ago. It was considered possibly the first tornado of 2024. The footage is crazy. Reminded me of Miami 1997.

  6. My family was actuality returning to Colorado from a vacation to Washington when the Salt Lake City twister hit. We weren't in the city, but we were driving right by the Salt Lake itself, and the rain and lightning was absolutely insane. I remember seeing a newspaper the next day with a headline about the tornado.

  7. The National Weather Service (NWS) has conformed that Downtown Fort Lauderdale was hit by an EF0 tornado on January 6th, 2024 (6 days ago). Approximately 100 yards / 300 feet wide with 80mph winds, the tornado supposedly touched down at 5:47 P.M. and ended near A1A and Las Olas Blvd at 5:50 P.M., after traveling approximately 1.5 miles. The tornado caused damage to mobile homes, brought down trees, damaged power lines; consequently sending sparks flying, and damaged yachts at the Lauderdale Yacht Club.

  8. The fort worth Texas tornado in 2000 hit a school that I would end up going to. I remember them always telling us the story of the tornado hitting the school

  9. Hey sweagle! Have you ever heard of the Alabama, Georgia f4 that happened in 2019? I was directly hit, but no one ever talks about it even though it was a F4!

  10. Hey Jake,
I remember you mentioning the idea of this once and it would be really cool if you did make a video documenting TIVs, known ones and how they've evolved over time and been refined.
    Thanks , love your content
