21. As a kid, I always loved pugs and thought they were sweet and adorable. My dad ended up getting a pug rat terrier mix. He is 13 years old now, and he is everything you love about pugs without the squished face and breathing problems. He had lymphoma but ended up beating it after we changed his diet to some homemade food made of liver and such.

    He is still a grumpy old twinkie dog, though in his golden years.

25. Relax, you're all over exaggerating, I swear, you can throw your kid in a ball pit, and people will say you're abusing your kid. Your dog has a breathing disadvantage, and all of a sudden, it's in constant pain and agony, which is just fking ridiculous. I have 2 pugs, and they are absolutely fine. If it was really that hard to breathe, they wouldn't constantly be darting across the fields with the other dogs and keeping up. Just get a pug that has a good track record via genetics. Most problems are from poor genetics during the breeding selection process or improper husbandry. Look at large dogs. It's very common for them to die in pain because they develop hip problems later in life or need hip surgery. Which is very common. 2 out of the 3 big dogs I've ever owned had their hips blow out. Every single domesticated dog has some form of health problem or at higher risk of certain health problems. That's the consequence of humanities never-ending corruption of the natural world. Animals, food, and even us humans have problems due to lifestyle and questionable breeding practices. Grow tf up
