Amazing job guys, keep a roll of duct tape handy, you could have taped off your boot tops to stop or slow down the filling of your boots with freezing water. Huge respect for fighting through the cold and pain to rescue mom and babies.
Were the owners not home when the flood hit or something? But then why leave mama dog outside away from the puppies when you're not home? Did they originally leave the door open for her and it swung shut somehow? I am glad theyre ok

I couldn't abandon my fur babies i had a gas smell scare so i opened all my windows and refused to leave the house i said if the house going to blow ima blow with it with my fur babies it turned out it was a skunk which was a false alarm which caught me off guard as it was 4 am dead in the night frigid so I wasn't thinking clearly as I awoke to that smell
