  1. In the northern states through the country like Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and so on… they live for 6 months about of the year with snow and ice permanently covering the roads and are just fine. Portland needs to get their shit together and get an actual dedicated ice/ snow DOT team. We go through this every single year. We get ENOUGH snow and ice to cause major issues, so why do we NOT salt the roads? Come on, I've been stuck in Camas for 5 straight days now. This is getting so old.

  2. Is the Media still telling people to turn off their water at the mains ? Risking lives and putting citizens in dire need of water to survive?
Anybody that thinks that is what we do up north is sadly mistaken. Only if you live in a trailer or a house that is elevated off the ground. Otherwise your pipes are under your home and will not freeze and burst. Now if you leave your water running/trickling you WILL cause ice to form in your drains and burst your drain pipes.
Portland Media gave out so much false and BAD recommendations to people regarding what to do in a cold snap it will cost people their lives, damage to homes, and possibly force people to try and leave their homes which have become dangerous to stay in because of the MEDIA'S false reporting on what to do.

  3. Sleeping overnight at work tonight , salmon creek. Couldn’t open my car. Completely frozen. Hope the temp will go down so I can get home in am

  4. Power outage since Saturday 6am, and it's still ongoing. They've mentioned power restoration by tomorrow(Wed) at 10 pm, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
