A Concorde jet erupts in flames seconds after lifting off the runway at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. Most of the wreckage, from one of the world’s fastest passenger planes, is consumed by fire. But three mysterious clues are found on the runway—a ruptured fuel tank, some torn pieces of tire, and a mysterious strip of metal. Now French investigators must figure out how this curious collection of leads is connected, and what could have caused the first fatal crash of Concorde jet.

Interesting, sad, and cool vid.
The reason the concorde flight4590 is that a airliner took off and a part came out but concorde didn't know there's a piece of metal on the runway concorde was on then they runned the piece of metal over and it destroyed one of the landing gears and the landing gear or metal stick went into engine 2 and made engine 2 fail and then they were in flames after they crashed into a airport hotel there was 119 passengers on board and only 3 survived but the rest did not.
If everyone died at that plane crash how did the one pilot survive???
There we go!!! Always cutting corners being cheap and caused those pilots passengers and crew to unnecessarily lose their lives because of someones incompetence. This tragedy is still haunting too me!!
Amanda dc-9 then i'm so the concord what the next to my plane ang got the 360 camera then look outside i'm so the conquered start to bounce feel😢
Great aircraft in theory, total bag of shit in reality (dc10)
Somehow missed the dozen rules broken by the crew and the other mistakes by AF that also caused this accident. E.g. missing spacer between the wheels etc. The strip of metal from the DC 10 was a contributing factor not the main cause. Just watch the interview with John Hutchinson, way better explanation.
Imagine for a moment where aircraft would be today had we continued to develop on Concorde technology after it first flew.
What hard is there was and still is nothing fundamentally wrong with concorde the British and French built a fantastic airplane there nothing it crashed because metal fell off yet again a dc10 that plane has had so many problems yet another time heroism shocking concrde was retired after this there nothing wrong with it

Concorde the X-59 rides high on your shoulders 🫡
It was ticking time bomb from the day it was designed.
Death Coffin- 10 enough said
Lego needs to make an airport hotel
bloody pathetic really it crashes once and you take it out of service yet other aircraft keep crashing and you let them keep flying
I hate dc10
WAIT!! THE PILOT ARE SURVIVE?!?! HOW
Rip to all 😢
It was a plane who destroyed the Concorde
R I P
Only survivor

For all of you armchair pilots who want to put this all on the DC-10, allow me to enlighten you. I am a retired US Navy pilot with over 4000 hours of time and 500 traps in both the A-6E Intruder and F-18 Hornet. I have been on 8 US Navy AMB's (Aircraft Mishap Boards) and Chaired 2 of them. This piece of metal could have come off ANY aircraft that flew that day, not just the DC-10. This was not an aircraft model specific issue, this was a maintenance issue. Yes, the DC-10 had its problems early with the cargo doors, but once this problem was corrected, it went on to rack up an excellent safety record. I suggest you do some reading before you blindly post some idiotic statement about the DC-10. It will save you from looking like an ignorant idiot.
Unable to accelerate or climb, they crew did have options to cut drag and accelerate. It was mentioned that the gear would not come up so that option was lost. I am sure this aircraft, due to its long takeoff roll, was probably at full flaps. Incrementally bring up the flaps as they gained airspeed could have also reduced their drag. Presumably the Captain would declare "I have control" at which point the F/E and 1/O would be doing the memory items for "aircraft/emgine fire, take off continued" checklists. Would it have kept the aircraft airborne is hard to say. But with a massive fire like that, structural failure of the port wing was a foregone conclusion. They may very well have been doomed as soon as the fuel tank ruptured and the fire started.
They should bring the old girl back that was freak accident ! She was the most beautuful aircraft ever built !
Grande tristesse ce terrible jour
even the future could'nt keep up with the concorde
I'm sure in the far future when technology is far greater than today, the concorde will be seen flying in the skies once again
