You can't assume that Drake will get over it. That is a horrible assumption to make because Drake has to suffer that alone. And he can't keep getting renamed. He is a living being with a mind, a heart, and a soul. He is real. He's alive, and he feels. You could see in his eyes he was hurting badly before. Your taught him to trust you. He trusts your entire family, furbaby and all. Please Please don't hurt him. Drake loves all of you. He wants so badly to be a part of your family forevermore. Please, no more changes. Please be Drakes forever Mom, and forever family. See he has trusted you and given you his whole entire being and all his love. Please don't reject him. No matter how you frame it, if you don't keep Drake it's a rejection for sweet Drake, especially being of a dog breed that is in danger. A Dog of Drakes breed without a forever home is danger of dying. No, not dying. Instead, he is in danger of being legally murdered simply because he doesn't have a forever home. It's so horribly wrong. Ya know these animals know when they're in danger, and when they're on death row. They're not stupid, no where near that. So they suffer when they know that they're not being kept, they're not in a stable place, they still don't have a home. Ya know, scientifically they are known to be psyhic. They know things before we even do. They also know when we need them too. Please let Drake know that you love him and he's home, HOME FOREVER.

38. All these comments saying keep him…smh! Come on folks, as animal fosters we cannot keep every animal we foster! What about the rest of the dogs at the shelter who are highly adoptable and facing euthanasia due to lack of space? Hopefully a wonderful family will watch this video and see what a wonderful family dog he would be and adopt him, ergo, many more dogs will be given a second chance too.

39. People, please stop projecting your own feelings into a story that you saw a glimpse about. Without even understanding fostering. Or listening to the fact that this amazing couple already have a dog and a 1 year old baby. Fostering (or having dogs) needs a lot of energy and even money. I salute these remarkable people to be this selfless and concious.

    As someone who was fostering dogs, letting go one that seems a perfect fit for you is a hard, but very important decision. The two dogs I "gave up" although we had special bonds had or have their best lives. And they found their REAL home. Meanwhile I was able to save multiple lives (not just the ones you take out, but the dogs that can have their places in the shelter!) and help people to find an important member of their lives.
