   I think the most rewarding relationship a human can have is with their good, smart dog. They do things for us we don't even recognize they're so subtle. My dachshund knows when I'm upset sometimes before I do. He can pick out a sketchy character in a crowd in a heartbeat, too. Lets everyone know this is not a person to trust as he tries to back them out the nearest exit. Fiercely protective of me and mine. It's mutual. I love this wise little weiner dog! Grown but still a pup when he was dumped and found my doorstep. A charming longhaired dachshund. 10 yrs ago this June 6th. Angels brought him to me. Sixteen months after Buddy found us my son died of pneumonia. I needed him. His pretty, soft red fur soaked up so many tears.
