I took home a scared shelter chihuahua. Here’s what happened.

6. At 0:50 it's great to see Toothless trying to nest in the sunbeam! He probably never had one at the last place he lived. Now he has his own personal human. That's wonderful.

9. I don't get it why there is no harsh punishment for people that abuse/neglect animals like these poor dogs. It's out of question that such human trash should go straight into jail, many hours of community service + a lifelong ban on owning or working with animals. I'm glad these dogs got out of it and are in good hands now! Shelters and rescue organizations shouldn't have to rely on donations. Governments are wasting millions and billions every month but when it comes to animals there is (almost) no financial support. My deepest respect for helpers like in this video!

15. We have 3 senior dogs and a very senior cat. Our 3rd dog is a foster, he is the same age as Toothless and has lost most of his teeth, due to not having proper care and food, and his eyes are also more cloudy than my 13 year old dog. He is also aggressive and likes to bite because he is not used to anything and doesn't k ow what love and attention is, like Toothless he has become quite demanding of pets.

18. He has no teeth because the a**h*le who had him before probably never got his teeth cleaned. Dogs and cats should have their teeth cleaned by a veterinarian at least once a year. PLEASE, PLEASE don’t wait until your pet’s breath stinks to get his or her teeth professionally cleaned. Yes, it is expensive but your pet is worth it and deserves to be pain free. I’m glad Toothless is living his best life now but I can’t help but think about how much pain he was in while he was losing his teeth.
