  1. Although this makes for great programming, I'm not sure this is the way to improve things. Hoarding is an addiction and, as such, needs its own rehab facilities. This didn't get broken overnight, and it wont be improved in a couple of days. Hoarding is the problem, but it's merely a symptom of the problem. It's only when we come to the WHY that we have hope. Making a person divest her/himself of possessions like this is equivalent to putting an alcoholic in jail for a week and thinking when he comes out he won't ever drink again. The first stop he makes upon release will be for alcohol. Guaranteed.
My heart breaks for those who are lost in this condition. I'm not a hoarder, but an alcoholic who's been sober 16 years. I know more than a little on addictions of all sorts. We're all worthy of a better life than addiction offers. We just need to realize it.

  2. Cory is often more engaged with the clients than anyone else. He talks to them with patience, understanding, sense and reason. Kudos to you all, team

  3. Becky's story. WOW If you don't use or look what's in storage get rid of it and save your money. The same goes to the people who have their garages filled with junk they never look at. The teen girl could have cleaned up her own room. Linda's story, wow. I hope her daughter got help with her drug problem. Wow all those shoes, unreal

  4. The part at the end was really touching. It's nice most of these turned out nice. TY for sharing this. God Bless You & stay safe.

  5. I was a hoarder. It costed me about 3000 for me to clear up the house and I am very happy I did it. The key is to hire people and get someone who you trust in charge. If you are a hoarder, you will never be able to do it yourself.

  6. All i see is undiagnosed ADHD and or Autism in all these hoarders. Because even if people had severe trauma, not all people with trauma hoard. So there must ne an underlying factor. Like this need to keep physical things or else forget people or events…. Or this new project problem. Its literally a adhd probleme. New projekt, boring new projekt boring…= Hoard😢

  7. I wish they had an antiques specialist as part of their team. Some of the items are bound to be worth money. A lot of these people hold onto things because they think they have monetary value.
It would also bring a lot of reassurance when they’re getting rid of their stuff. Even a small cheque at the end would be a nice way to soften the blow and for them to know what they collected didn’t just go in the bin but was bought by someone who wanted it.

  8. Currently cleaning my hoard. It's not easy, especially if you use it as a shield from others. I'm working on one room a week, I know it's slow, but it gives me the time to go through the motions of cleaning out, but when I'm done, it feels better.

  9. The entitlement these people have is insane. Thinking they don’t have to pay for their house or storage and expect free handouts. Then expecting to live free of charge with family and be allowed to destroy their home too? They flat out do not care about anyone but themselves and materialistic trash

  10. I don't feel one bit sorry for Debbie. All she did was gripe and complain with everyone and all they wanted to do was help her and she resisted and complained.

  11. When married to my ex wife she had a Victorian house attic crammed with stuff. It was later that I found out she also had 4 storage units for her junk. She later moved to Reno where she got 2 more storage units in addition to the 4 she already had. Then she moved to Las Vegas and got 2 more storage units, so now 8 total. What happened next? She moved to Florida into a trailer and has that crammed full and has at least 1 storage unit that I am aware of. As if that is not bad enough, she then asked our daughter in Michigan if she can store stuff in her basement.

  12. Sir if u sell a fraction of those antiques you will make over 20 gs. Lucky she held onto stuff of value. It could be all news papers and trash. Its not as bad a ur pior wife thinks. Lancaster, morgantown, philly. There r antique stores in every little town in pa. U r lucky..i see at least 50 gs in antiques.

  13. Well that's your fault for them taking the house and you got all these storage units just wasting your money it's all garbage throw it out now you got no house or home don't feel sorry for you
