11. Man, my fams long time law was, family is family, they always have a roof and the floor if nothing else. My aunt broke that, told my mother outright there would never be room for us… Followed by 2 more times that she and her tweens needed to move in, hating every moment of it. They would fight and shout nearly every day. Her kids even came to us on their own multiple times because she threw them out, or they were all fed up, and genuinely worried she was having a breakdown and they couldn't take it anymore.

    Being friend zoned is a choice, have more self worth and just say no unless all you want really is a friendship. Otherwise you're just setting yourself up to be strung along so they can use you for a free self esteem boost while they date people they're actually interested in. They already told you that wasn't you, listen to it.

27. 20:20. OP is not over reacting at all. She set a clear boundary and made her discomfort known and he completely disregarded it. It doesn't even matter if he did cheat (though lets be honest, he absolute is), he already showed that he doesn't care or respect OP's feelings enough to change his behavior. That's his choice, he can do what he wants. But just because he wants to act like that doesn't mean you need to stay with him and be ok with it.

    Red flags are warnings and you shouldn't ignore them. Especially when you bring them up and your partner simply dismisses them, that's a major red flag all on it's own.

    The woman who apparently wants to tell guys that she just wants to be friends needs to be realistic and communicate better. If she isn't immediately ready to be romantic but isn't opposed to possibly being romantic in the future, she should tell them that. Don't just say that she wants to be friends if she already could see a potential in the future. She should be able to say, "I want to get to know you better, and see if we might have a potential future. I don't want to instantly commit to a serious romantic relationship, but I would like to see how things go." If the guy doesn't want to do that, she needs to be reasonable and not be butt-hurt about it. But if she sets up an honest and reasonable expectation with the guy, she may have better luck with it.
    Just how I would probably go about it if I was in her shoes. But I met my husband at 18, so I can't 100% know exactly what her situation is like.

44. Oh god, here we go. It's a story I've told countless times over the years, and I can say I still feel only slightly bad about it. But my English teacher in high school, Mrs. Dunbee, was probably in her mid 60's and was stuck in her ways of using those projectors that used the clear sheets of paper you could write on for taking down our notes, and she would only write in cursive, which a lot of us couldn't read, and as such would be losing marks for not taking proper notes for whatever reason, even though the school had just spent a lot of money to get projectors that hang from the ceiling and you could connect your laptop to it for sharing whatever. The thing is, I was never the class clown or bad student. I was one of the top students of the year, so teachers loved me, so the fact that I was getting a worse grade because of her being stuck in the old days, I learned her morning schedule and would sneak into the classroom and unscrew the lightbulb from the projector, and then when she went to turn it on, she wouldn't be able to and would have to go and get a new bulb from the office, which led to me teaching her how to use her laptop and connect it to the projector, and we would be taking the notes as she typed them out into word for the day. After I had pulled this trick for a couple of weeks, she learned to keep the bulbs locked inside her desk so I couldn't keep nicking them. At that point, I stepped up my game since, over all of this time, I tried talking to her about just switching to using her laptop, but she would refuse and dug her heels in the dirt because it "Wasn't the proper way to learn, and electronics were the issue of the whole world rotting our brains and making us lazy." So the next and final thing I did was I would roll down the old projector screen slightly and filled it up with the confetti dots that came from the hole punch machine she held on her desk as well as the really cheap sparkle dust from a dollar store so that when she pulled the screen down, it would all fall to the ground. What I didn't expect was that she would stand directly in the splash zone when it all happened, and she ended up having a mental breakdown at that point, crying and screaming at the class, asking how whoever was doing this to her could be so heartless and what exactly she had done to be deserving of all of this, but she gives up if she was so much of an issue the school could deal with her class of monsters. After that, we had a sub teacher for the year, and as far as I know, she retired. So did she possibly deserve all of this? Maybe the whole class was sick of her and the school as a whole since she was the teacher who would yell at you for stepping even a toe out of line. Should I have done everything that I did again? Probably not, but the school wasn't doing anything about it, and I wasn't going to keep having my marks detracted because she felt that people should still learn or understand to read a style of writing that has died.

48. My hubby and I have been together for 16 years. We aren't legally married, but we are common law. I've been legally married and divorced once 21 years ago. My hubby and I are perfectly happy the way we are.
