  1. Watching her rough house with the other dogs is so endearing and wholesome! I love dogs that can wrestle with other dogs fearlessly. Some dogs aren't good wrestlers, but she is so beautiful ❤

  2. Gosh, Dixie is a beautiful dog. So happy that this woman saved Dixie's life, as I have done with many dogs myself. I wish that all Shelter Dogs could be saved, like Dixie will be.

  3. For a dog who's been in and out of the shelter so much, I don't think changing homes on her is really much different. Keep her. Adopt her. Make her not ever have to leave a place she obviously considers home, especially when you've already had her for a year.

  4. We live in Oregon. Our rescue pittie came from Texas. I'm 45 and had dogs my whole life but she is all around the best dog I've ever had. She's hilarious, a cuddle bug, loves meeting other people, dogs, and she likes the neighborhood cats so much that I want to get one for her. I can't imagine life without her. Please give pitties a chance.

  5. Im sorry but I hope she's a foster fail bcs in my heart i seriously doubt she can find a better forever home. So you cant foster anymore. You could still help by volunteering in some way at the shelter. Maybe you could help arrange for other fosters. She's just So dang happy with you your husband and your wonderful pack 💓

  6. If she was going in and out of the shelter, that means animal control kept having to pick up the dog for one reason or another. Maybe she was just being an escape artist and the owner kept picking the dog up until the shelter put the dog as "at risk" aka the shelter took custody of the dog I seen it happen to dogs in super great homes and its tragic because the dog misses its owner and feels guilty for being an escape artist thinking it's a game

  7. maybe you should try keeping her. it would be a good idea.

she has had so much heartbreak, that's why she almost ended in the list right?

She is a cutie and adorable. it wouldn't be a huge problem to keep her since she has bonded with you.

    please keep her. please.

you would give her the peace and love she needs.

    she is a keeper!

I understand your foster job but there are special cases like this one.

don't make a mistake with this precious soul please

  8. Listen, I'm sorry, but at some point you have to admit failure. You guys have had her for a year, she has become part of your family, you will have to add one more full time dog to the pack and just keep fostering. It just is what it is, sometimes fate has plans you weren't planning on. Go with it and trust it will all work out in the end.

  9. I hope this owner keeps her right where she is. She has a home. Period. No need for any more upheaval in her life. Owner: You want to fix the problem in Texas? That'll do it.

  10. It would be a shame Dixi not being able to stay considering she's been fostered there for over a year with her doggy pals. I understand what the foster is saying but again it'll be another upheaval for Dixi😢
