    Forget about the cruise lines, the freight coming into the harbor like, make a list beginning with sugar, and a zillion other things from Europe, and….automobiles from Europe that the harbor also receives.

    That harbor will be blocked for a while until it’s cleared, and THAT, will definitely impact the economy in a negative way.

    Having spent some time at sea myself I can say that a cargo ship, all large vessels really, have redundant systems that prevent a ship from loosing steerage control.

    So, nobody should come to any conclusions until the “accident” is thoroughly investigated. Personally, I think it was a deliberate act of sabotage.

As someone who lives like 10 minutes away from the key bridge this hurts me, im 13 and ive seen that bridge all my life since my father takes me to a fishing place right by it,its call "fort armsted*" ik i spelt the second word wrong but still..They found 2 bodies Yesterday out of 8, now not to long ago they found 2 other bodies..but as long they have been in the water the rest of the 6 have passed..so like i said they found 2 more bodies..(dead bodies) this pains me so much..i might be young but its just painful…

    Ship & barges way smaller were always escorted by a tug in close proximity to a busy water way

42. This is what happened the day after.

There was a fire on the boat also, so the power went out, yet all my prayers sent to these families that got effected, and to the one person (how many Ik rn) who survived, also the boat deserved better, this was a traumatic event yet very tragic too, this happened when I was at my step dads house and it got me wondering after he said he was up at 1AM so, I got my answers and I was shocked, what’s bad about this for me is I have a fear/phobia of bridges and this gets me scared, so if you were here thank you for reading.
