Unstable weather and heavy rain overtook parts of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, flooding some streets and stalling traffic in Bahrain.
Early on Monday, Bahrain Police issued a public safety advisory alerting residents to the adverse weather conditions.
The Bahrain’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that from Tuesday afternoon to early Wednesday morning (April 17), another wave of unstable weather was expected to begin from Western areas and spread across scattered areas of the country.
At least 17 people were killed after flash floods swept through various parts of Oman on Sunday (April 14) and Monday (April 15), the country’s National Committee for Emergency Management reported.
Rainfall continued across parts of the country with varying intensity. The current weather conditions are expected to last until Wednesday.
