Cat in poor condition Rescued

1. New Rescue Alert!

   We were contacted about this kitty a few weeks ago and were unable to catch him on the first attempt. When we went back today, we learned that he is Beavis' brother and was left behind by the same family 💔

   This boy is extremely matted and in very poor condition. We think he is most likely FeLV positive, too, and will probably also need a dental.

   Although he didn't want to be caught, he is very sweet to his caretaker and had an indoor family life before. After he decompresses, we're sure he will be a sweetheart with us, too.

   Right after catching him we went straight to our vet. He is currently their and will be getting a haircut and full health assessment.

   We have named this beautiful boy Aegis (pronounced ee- juhs) after Zeus' shield.

   Stay tuned for his after vet update.

   Ps. we are aware that we need to post some updates, but we have A LOT of new kitties and will get updates out as soon as we can. We have to focus on taking care of all our rescues babies first. We have seven new kitties coming our way tomorrow. We will be live rescuing around 1130am PST tomorrow for that rescue.

9. That's just awful that poor thing that fur is in the absolute worst condition I've ever even seen that cat must be in so much pain and so uncomfortable

13. Poor baby. Those mats must hurt. Why are people so mean to animals, especially their own pets. I always pray they don't have children. God only knows how they treat them! Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a chance at a better life. ❤

14. I will never understand if someone gets a pet then puts it out, disgusting. Learn lessons if you don't want them for real then don't get them.

27. Never have I ever seen a cat this matted before. I agree with a recent commentor on here mentioning that this cat isn't even having a long coat fur. We look forward to hearing the update for Aegis @catsofsanbernardino . Wishing all the best for your endeavours to help out cats like these!

41. Why do people just leave their cats. They need someone. Glad these cats found help. I rescue cats too. For 31 years. It's a sad but fulfilling job…

    He's not even long haired ,so that tells me he's been through it and has been in an uncomfortable environment surviving for a ling time in his car years..
    Glad you found him/her and fixed the little one up .
