17. 1992 was when a tornado tore off our roof, and rained down on my kids in their beds! It was right before 4a.m. , and I was working in the ER when my husband called. He said the lightening woke him up. The next thing he said was “do you hear that crazy wind “? I replied “ THATS NOT WIND. ITS A TORNADO “!!! Click! The phone went dead, and I had no idea what was going on, or if my family was alive!
    There wasn’t any warnings! I was right by the scanner, and there wasn’t even any reports of a tornado touchdown until I reported it. Luckily my family was uninjured. Trailers, and houses in our area were destroyed!!
