Mouflon sheep are found on the islands of Corsica, Sardinia and Cyprus.
They have also been introduced into many parts of Europe. The mouflon live in mountainous terrain, usually above the tree line or in mountain meadows.
They feed intermittently throughout the day, resting during the hottest hours.
The mouflon is a shy animal. They are extremely fast runners, and great jumpers.
Horns are rare on young ewes.
