9. First of all, how many people out of these 110,000 people died from prescription drug overdoses? I'm not saying Fentanyl is good, but Americans have had a problem with prescription opioid abuse for a much longer time. Approximately 21-29% of patients taking prescription opioid medications for chronic pain conditions abuse them. I think that Europe has fewer problems with this type of phenomena because drugs that are a gateway to heroin and then Fentanyl are not so easily available. I come from Poland and in the opinion of my compatriots, drugs such as heroin are simply the end of the road for losers. And this attitude has been instilled in us for many decades. Even the Hip-Hop community and Rappers sharply criticized the use of substances that cause loss of consciousness and even called for a fight against people selling such substances. I can't say I've never seen a person addicted to heroin, but we don't have pockets of junkies in every city. The problem for Americans is that they flew into space with prescription drugs containing opioids and their availability. This problem may affect European countries that are a bit more liberal. The Polish legislator literally does not provide for any punishment for "drug use". However, taking drugs falls within the very definition of drug possession, and such an act is already punishable.

    Every relapse is as though I’ve completely let go of the reigns, and then once I do grab them again, who or what ever had them has already driven me straight back into opioid hell.
    I’m 28 and I still can’t stop, and I want to so fucking badly. I’m getting really scared.

While obviously fentanyl is an issue, and there are addicts in Europe as well, but calling it an "European opioid crisis" is just so misleading, not least because there are comparatively better treatment programs for addicts, but literally no sane doctor in Europe would give away opioids like candy… Make no mistake, the opioid crisis in the US exists purely by design. It could end in a year if the government actually gave a f*ck.

29. Europe isn't covered with Fentanyl because the Chinese aren't pumping it in there like they are I. North America, specifically the USA. Idk who brought this new stuff into Europe or why. I do know why they have done this in the USA. It's part of their war against us.

31. This is soo scary how people still do drugs when they see the results. It no way these people are feeling good when they take the drugs but they don’t stop. It’s a disease that takes so much more than rehab to help cure. I live in Philadelphia and down Kensington it’s worst than this! It’s walking zombies they are literally the walking dead smh so many sores on their bodies & the police & citizens talk to them like they are animals but I have compassion for them. Humans have to have compassion for each other that’s the only way we can even attempt to get a hand on this disease. I pray for all who are addicts & especially functioning addicts. 🙏🏾

This drug has been on the Swedish dark net market for over 2 years now, and is currently in the 40mg, 20mg and 80mg oxycontin pills, also sold as nasal spray just like the fentanyl crisis in 2016 when you could buy spray bottles with just pure fentanyl. It will only get worse from here on out sadly..
