  1. Thank you for saving her and her unborn babies. Sad 😢 , they wanted to have her put down. Shelter should have reached out to rescues.

Glad she was adopted and her babies found loving homes. Now, she is helping with baby kittens. God bless y’all

  2. My border collie helped me foster like this with kittens as well. She was so loving and excited to help with them. So attentive to them. If she couldn't get to them when she knew they'd woken up she'd whine until I let her check on them. We took in the smaller litters. Those who the mothers kicked out of the nest, the ones who were the only survivors for whatever reason happened to the others. Im disabled so not having a big litter was better for me as well. We did about 20 kittens. She'd help clean them after dinner, take care of their bathroom duties (iykyk), love on them, sleep with them, get them used to dogs, etc. She never nursed them (that's where she drew her line. If they tried she would get up and walk away. After a few times, the kitten got the hint not to mess with her belly and respected her wishes. Idk if she knew what they were trying to do or not but she did not like her belly to be messed with at all. She didn't even let me touch her belly. They could snuggle up to her belly. They could play with her tail and jump all over her, just don't root through her belly hair) she had never been a mother herself but somehow knew exactly what to do. We did our last kitten in 2016 when she was 13 and her health was going and she now needed my help. She passed in 2017 and was the best dog I've ever had. I miss you so much, Sadie Marie. I tried to do another kitten after she passed but our new dog tried to eat it. I had to let someone else foster it. I knew my fostering days were now over at that point.

  3. Ginger didn’t get to keep any of her babies? So sad, she looked so happy bouncing with them in her Tshirt. It hurts the pain that animals have to endure merely to live along side us. Glad that you found them all homes that, must have been challenging but, everyone loves babies. Thanks for sharing and caring for all the wee creatures
