  1. I remember super mario all stars being 5 bucks in the early 2000s. By 2015 every common game had doubled or more in price. Now its insane. I have a decent snes, genesis, and ps1 collectuon along with consoles. Also have a TurboGrafx 16 mini. Selling them all

  2. 6:00 I feel this too. I had a friend in grade school who would always introduce me to something new and cool and interesting, from Devil May Cry to Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and more obscure titles like Dark Chronicle and Shadow Hearts… and all of those game I own now. I wanted to own them because they were quality titles that grabbed me back then but I didn't have the resources to get myself. Now that I have them, as well as many other great PS2 titles from my childhood, I have all the games I REALLY want in my collection. So like Scott says here, everything else I buy these days, is just overflow.

I may watch a video on youtube saying "10 hidden gems on PS2 you NEED to check out" and one of them may interest me so I go and buy it. And while it's always a great thing to expand your horizons and discover something new that may become your new favorite game, it is still overflow. It's a nother game to the pile that I'll likely never get around to actually play.

I mean whenever I'm at retro/nerd/flea markets, it is incredibly rare for me to find something I A. don't already own, B. have been looking for for my collection. And I think that of all is the clearest indicator that while my collection can grow forever, I kinda already have everything I REALLY TRULY want.

  3. Selling something above market value is an oxymoron. The price people are willing to pay is what sets market value. I think you mean, selling something above the manufacturer's suggested retail price.

If you don't like scalping, you don't like capitalism. Pick a side.

  4. Fun fact. I won one of those Club Nintendo 3DS's, the Red and Blue mario one to be exact.
It was the best thing I ever had from Nintendo until I sold it to get a Nintendo 3DS XL and it was worth so much I could buy a few games with it too!

  5. 2 minutes in, yeah you have an addiction that’s hoarding physical media. Not only it is common but to see you say it in 4K for hours LONG, after I’ve watched sub 30k subs… it makes your videos concerning. And this basically a fetish of “cardboard”.

Bro this video is 80% non video game and 20% gameplay. Imagine if he did Adderrall

  6. the price to demand in this hobby is purely manipulated and artificial due to scalpers, without scalpers you wouldn't find nes games or ps1 stuff for like 300$ a pop or close to these prices its why less scalped stuff like say PC engine, and neo geo CD games are priced accordingly like you would see them back then the price didn't change cuz the scalpers didn't see value in scalping those, they only scalp for consoles that they know ppl want. like nes games. its why GPUs have risen in prices not due to demand but due to a buncha ppl using AI bots to insta buy on release and scalp them, to say sacalpers are directly fiddling and manipulating the market in an inorganic and messed up way is an understatement, its the reason why every other market outside the US has regular prices that were a thing prior to a while back, their prices reflect what used to be the deal before stores popped up in the US that are borderline money laundering schemes or scalpers selling ya a GameCube controller for 200$ just cuz its in the box when i can find it for 10$ on facebook here where i live and it works perfectly, GameCube controllers arent known for fucking up or dying say like ps2 controllers and even OEM ps2 controllers are just as cheap if not the same price, even if its in box. just know scalpers usually get what they deserve and they cant cry victim about it, like that guy who was scalping ps5s in a warehouse, and got his info leaked

  7. 2:19 Absolutely Not! That is NOT True at all!

Most TVs after 2011 have a Feature that has to be turned on that work in Conjunction with Blu-Ray players to allow a movie to be played at its Native 24Hz.

This Reduced Motion Blur. 24hz and 60hz are both Multiples of 120hz hence why movies and shows look Soo clear, but a 60hz film is an Artificial Refresh Rate of 24hz Content so it looks better if you go from a Native Source.

So Movies Look & Sound Better on Disc due to the Features being used between the Media player on a Disc Player(Blu-Ray , 4K).

This is why everyone who has done a switch from watching streamed content to a Blu-Ray are all noticing the sharper image and sound quality.

Games on the other hand are the Opposite. They perform better and look and sound better when stored on FLASH media. So like an SSD be it a NVMe or a SATA drive.

Ya you're cool as an Entertainer, but when you try to make claims, my God man! I don't understand how someone as young as you in the age of the Internet can say so many incorrect things.

  8. I started collecting from my brother and continued his legacy. My prize position is the Phiips CDI 😂 because the journey to get it because I wanted all the zelda games because my friend played all Zelda games but not the CDI ones and he told me not to get it because it's garbage 😂 so that made me want it even more so I did. The wild story getting the system from the Netherlands then getting the American power adapter from Texas then getting control I want from New York putting it all together priceless lol

  9. "You have more members of the collecting community now, you just have to pay ten more dollars to own a game, suck it up"

Say it again for the people in the back

  10. Sony could have made a great playstation classic. But they probably never got the rights. I also think they planned on making an actual ps1 classic and then have two controllers with analog sticks.

  11. As a fellow owner of Nigel mansells game on the Super Nintendo, I agree with your views on collecting video games. I too have a bunch of games I’ve never played but own and have no intention of playing.
