  1. I remember when I was walking in a mall and my black bandana partially started coming out of my back pocket. I noticed two dudes following me and my friend told me that my bandana was falling out, so I tucked it back in and they turned around and stopped following me. I am white, and the bandana wasn't even folded right, it was all wrinkled up because I didn't use it for banging. It was entirely unintentional, but they took it seriously. I was 15 years old at the time it happened.

  3. Houston is too diverse and integrated to really have such a thing call a gang war.
I spent a lot of time in Southern California in the 90s and I’m originally from New Orleans currently living in Harris County ( Houston). Houston is most definitely not a war zone. These kiddos have no idea.
