  3. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was famous for hiding crime numbers. In the 1990's, NYC was known as being, "The Safest Big City In America." It was a lie. Giuliani ordered police departments NOT to write police reports. If a crime was not reported then, technically, the crime didn't happen. I live in Washington Heights and crime was prolific. Cab drivers were being shot and killed. People were being mugged and stabbed. On a daily basis, the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital emergency room was filled will mugging victims. No one I asked had filed a police report. When I was mugged and stabbed, my local police precinct refused to write up a report. I was mocked by one of the officers for my insistence. I had to file a complaint at 1 Police Plaza headquarters against the precinct before a report was written up. Not only did I have to deal with injuries, near death, and no way to pay my bills but the feeling of being disregarded by the police, who are hired to protect and serve, felt violating. Like r*pe victims, I now know why victims of crime never report it. Victims of crime are shamed, blamed, and disregarded. It's a sad world we live in.

  4. One weekend. Thirty shot, five of them dead. I cite the second amendment as the prime cause for incidents like this, for it is a wizened and twee clause of the constitution that renders a taboo out of any effective measures to reduce gun violence in the US. Is there any reasonable argument to demonstrate that I am wrong?

    No?

    Silence the second.

  5. This is utterly ridiculous and it’s gonna continue until we start raising our kids better in the home that’s where it starts we know exactly what our kids are doing and think it’s cute when it’s not and soon as someone dies they claim he didn’t deserve it knowing damn well he was in a gang dissing other gangs
