9. I am so sorry this is happening to you. Unfortunately this could have been somewhat lessened if the opposite river bank hadn't been filled in. Low spread out banks are tempting to make over, build homes on etc. The problem is that in years like this you get heavy rains and massive flooding and when the banks are changed the water has no where else to go and will flood places like your with catastrophic results. I lived in a huge flood zone most if my childhood and saw this happen over and over. About all you can donis raise the level of your farm land, relocate, or deal with it each time an event happens. Saying a prayer for you and the recovery of your farm.
