  1. We utilize a similar setup with playback, but in our case I have the MacBook running Playback with Dante VSC so I can mix within playback and we have the iPad just remotes to start and stop things

  2. If this is the dbx RTA-M mic it is a diffuse field mic which will show a large on-axis peak if you point it at the source. It is designed to be aimed 70 – 90° away from the direct sound, so point your mic at the ceiling and try again. It is also a pin 3 hot mic so it will create the illusion of a polarity reversal in all your measurements that is not really there.

  3. I am running a n100 mini pc for my mixer, connected it with usb and using Dante via I now have plenty of ports on the network 😂 half the cost of a dante mixer and much more possibilities

  4. Thanks for posting. Watching the RTA while you were speaking makes me wonder if your room needs bass trap treatments to help eliminate low frequency buildup.

  5. You actually can change the X32‘s RTA source to any input. I sometimes use it to ring out a room with the integrated oscillator.

  6. Future idea, add something like Waves superrack performer or live professor and show a bit of off-board processing on the new audio Mac. Like vocal tuning, other reverbs, etc.
