Dachau concentration camp was located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory near the northeastern part of the town of Dachau, about 10 miles northwest of Munich in southern Germany. The first prisoner transports arrived at the camp on 22 March 1933.
In October the same year, Dachau’s commandant, Theodor Eicke, introduced a system of regulations which inflicted brutal punishments on prisoners for the slightest offenses. Eicke ensured that the Dachau camp served as a model for all later concentration camps. It also became a training center or a school of violence for SS guards who were deployed throughout the concentration camp system.
After the Second World War began on the 1st of September 1939, living conditions for the prisoners in the Dachau concentration camp drastically worsened. The murderous working conditions, the insufficient rations, and a lack of hygiene facilities in the camp led to a soaring death rate. From 1940 more and more prisoners were transported to the Dachau concentration camp from countries occupied by the German armed forces.
Out of over 200 thousand people who were imprisoned in Dachau and in the numerous subsidiary camps during its 12 years existence between 1933 and 1945, nearly 42 000 people were murdered.
There were many tears shed for the victims of the Dachau concentration camp.

And to thank us they gave us Soros, Janet yellin, the rosenbergs, Harvey, Jeffrey, most senior posts us government and ushered in "diversity" into europe. Thanks
My maternal grandfather was a political prisoner in Dachau working on the ammunitions factory line.
After the war my mother reconnected with him 4 years later.
I forget who it was, and i pray this is true, but i remember reading their was a commanding officer who upon liberating a concentration camp, went down into the nearby town. The German civilians obviously very wary of what would happen next, the CO got on a megaphone and told them not to worry they will come to no harm this was a time of celebration, infact since thats the case everyone should get dolled up in their best clothes and meet back in the town sqaure there was going to be a party. The germans relieved did as they were asked, got dressed up in their finest and went back to the town square, but there was no party. Instead they were taken in trucks to the concentration camp and forced to bury the bodies of dead prisoners. All in their best clothes, no gloves having to move bodies some well into the decomposition process, crying, screaming, vomiting all over themselves…….we didnt know…..Bullsh!t you didnt!
Ill bet you any money the gaurds found out it wasnt russian forces and thought " oh thank god we can surrender the americans and british have laws" what they failed to realise is we also have rules! Rules are different than Laws its an instinct deep down inside us that supersede laws certain things that have zero excuses for committing. The Nazis broke these rules and the allies in turn played by the rules, they had to go. The place surrounded by allied soldiers I'll bet on paper not one seen a single nazi be beaten to death in full view of everyone out in the open. Ill also bet these same allied soldiers never once gave liberated prisoners weapons to have their revenge. This would have happened all over europe in the ending days of the war. Ask no questions you will hear no lies and the world knew the deserved every bit of it!
Why do you censor these public records by blotting out dead bodies and such? Who gave you the right? Who do you think you are? These records SHOULD and MUST be seen to prevent such atrocities again! Your actions INCENSE me! You have no tight! Go somewhere else and get a real job! Take your squeamishness somewhere else and leave historical records alone!
What is the bloody point in blurring the pictures out, just give a warning before watching the video, stupid!
Before the nazis took the clothing, shoes, wedding rings, and gold fillings they took the guns….we can see the same people now, the “woke” have replaced the Nazis.
Thank you for using censored images of the dead people. I hate what was done to these people, but it would make me no better than an animal to want to see the physical condition of the deceased people be they Jewish, Polish, Gypsies or even Nazis. To want to see these images would make me no better than the perpetrators of the crimes. Please continue reporting on these events to remind us of just how evil man can be, so that we never forget.
In a liberated/caputed camp..after positive identification…the last thing a guard or member of staff should have seen was the inside of the oven door closing…just before an inmate lit it..Any person that took any part in this had long ago relinquished their classification as a human being…and they were owed nothing..
The fact that the American soldiers thought what the Nazis did to the Jews was evil, they can not see what they have done to their own black and brown countrymen as evil. I don’t agree with any American Units handed out justice, not after learning about ‘the Tuskegee Syphillis Experiment’ that was conducted long before and after the Nazis were exterminated! That was pure EVIL..
The NAZI party did not win the last legitimate election in July 1932; they came in 2nd. Upon forcing out other competitors, Hitler took poer then immediately ordered executions of Army regiments & others who opposed his power grab; or who might garner support. Not too dissimilar to the Fascism infecting America in 2024.
One party dictatorship?
Jail your political opponents,
Silence opposing opinions.
Censor and block the sharing of factual information and replace with the opinions and ideologies of the ruling party,
Lable people and use this to divide the public.
Gaslight the public to turn on eachother spreading hate.
Remove the teaching of factual history and replace with a "revised" history and ideologies in public school.
Push main stream media, news papers, and now a days, social media to control what information the public sees.
Preach doom and gloom and demolish the economy to keep the public depressed and struggling to make the public easier to control.
Holy moly, the list goes on and on. Sound familiar to anyone else out there?
This honestly made me cry of sadness at the word of the tortured Jews and laugh at the Jewish reprisals against the SS guards and the lot of hate comment made by the army commander
thumbs DOWN for the bs censorship
Ido not know how many relatives i lost. Long live poland
I knew of this incident in the 1960's. My friend's father was one of the U.S. Army soldiers lberating Dachau. He told us of the G.I.s seeing all the horrors, and then seeing a group of smirking SS guards standing nearby, and that was too much for the G.I.'s. "We took them behind one of the barracks, and shot them."
Bit like Gaza ?
This is how MAGAs see their role
To "cleanse', America. ,Rump has said that any non white immigrants have poisoned our blood
Hitler considered concentration camp inmates to be "woke". MAGAs would have been there to help the Nazis every step of the way
And what did patton say.
We fought for the wrong side.
Unbelievable
We can never ever let this part of history die. Keep telling the story, keep pointing out the horrible things these Nazi assholes did, never ever forget or repeat this brutality.
They need to show these videos to all the Pro Hamas Idiots..Did they not learn about this in school?
So, there is a 16 yr old forced into uniform and placed as a gate guard at a certain concentration camp. This is less than 3 months before the end of the war. At 98 years old, bed ridden and dying, he was deported from the US to feed the Israeli unending desire to see anyone they deem evil prosecuted. Justice? For whom? A few old men still seeking relevance?
Obviously it wasn't US govt policy to shoot death camp guards upon capture, unlike the German Wehrmacht who had the Commando and Political Commissar policies which did lead to captured POWs being shot immediately upon capture………..
Not got rid of your speech impediment yet, then? I left the minute I heard it.
I read a book written by a priest who was imprisoned here. On liberation day when the Americans came he said everything was very peaceful and the soldiers were doing a great job at keeping order and making sure everyone had everything they needed. What happened is there were Russian POW's also there and as anyone knows they had been absolutely brutalized and many murdered in these camps and they understandably wanted revenge. They somehow got the American soldiers to help them and that is when they started killing the SS.
So from what he described the Americans never planned to do that but the POW's probably did a good job in explaining the atrocities that happened and they decided revenge was fair at that point.
9:06 They weren't used to someone SHOOTING BACK
Thank you for talking first about KL victims. You have not mentioned that Poles constituted the largest ethnic group in the camp.
You have not mentioned one particular group of prisoners: clergy. Among a total of 2,720 clerics recorded as imprisoned at Dachau some 2,579 (or 94.88%) were Roman Catholics. Among the other denominations, there were 109 Protestants, 22 Orthodox, 8 Old Catholics and Mariavites and 2 Muslims. "The Nazis introduced a racial hierarchy – keeping Poles in harsh conditions, while favouring German priests.[33]"
Treatment of 1780 Polish priests was particulary brutal- close to 50% of Polish priests were killed at KL Dachau. Among 447 German priests over 20% deceased.
Apart from Poland and Germany clergy prisoners originated from (sorted by number of clergy prisoners): France, Czechoslovakia, Netherlands, Yugoslavia, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Denmark, Lithuania, Hungary, Switzerland, Greece, Britain, Albania, Norway, Romania, Spain.
American soldiers were shocked after seeing one German Nazi Concentration and Extermination camp. The Irony is American authorities later transfered the judgement of German war crimes to post-war German courts with immediate effect: sporadic trials and comic sentences, considering that Nazi Germany killed, for example, close to 5 – 6 milion Polish citizens.
So execution of KL Dachau guards might be rare act of HARSH but justice.
P.S. Waffen SS was not group of nice guys.
too heavily censored. these very same images were shown on broadcast TV in the 50s & 60s with no editing. this presentation gets a big fat O.
As my late father would have said, "Ef 'em."
Many tears shed for all the victims of the Nazis. May we never forget them!
My partners grandfather was one of the british medical team after liberation. It was so horrible he was changed for the rest of his life
Ive been to Dachau 3 times. 2 of those were a school trip, the last one with my parents. Every time there I felt really uneasy, knowing of the inhumanity wich took place there. The worst part was the gas chamber. I felt… powerless and small. The guide told us that there were in fact a few gasings there. During the 3rd time my mom said she could hear their screams while standing just outside looking into it
I think its crucial that we keep talking about it so we can never forget, because if we do forget history tends to repeat itself, wich is absolutely true
Never forget!🌹
When I was stationed at Hahn AB in Germany 🇩🇪, I had the opportunity to go to Munich. I walked through the beir hall where Hitler did his campaigning and visited Dauchau. From the moment you walked through the gate, there was a guide that spoke to us about the camp and also answered our questions. We started in the information building and watched a film about what went on and walked through the camp. The guide explained how the buildings were INFESTED with disease and had to be demolished, but they rebuilt 1 so that people could REALLY somewhat understand what had happened there. After our walk through the barracks, we were escorted to the crematorium. This was in 1980 and I SWEAR that you could still smell burned flesh. I was in tears when I left.
No camp guards and supervisors should have lived past 1946.
How do you know the guards were registered Nazi? They were German.
I was in the US Army stationed in Augsburg Germany in the late 1970's and took a trip to the concentration camp in Dachau. You could feel the weight of the place as you entered the gate. I've never forgotten that feeling of darkness that surrounded me that day and never will.
The narrator is a brilliant orator. He could read a Batman comic and completely captuvate you. Kudos to the narrator.
Brilliant video as it was Heartbreaking thank you for uploading and keeping history alive. To those who haven't seen the miniseries called the liberator I highly recommend it. It's about a group of white American and Mexican American and native American soldiers who were in the same battalion who fought across Europe and eventually were some of the liberators of Dachau. It's very good.
Day 3 of asking you to cover Franz stangl
Rest in peace for the victims
Both sides were as bad as each other
What gave the guards away they were well fed looking while the prisoners were rail thin.
😁😁😁😁😁
Madness darlinks
To everyone who says this event “wasn’t a war crime, it was justice” if so why would the allies have to cover this up?
