1. River, innerly and outside he is full of freedom and alive and well. But the fullest freedom is when he is not scared anymore when it's about man. Thank you sweet Takis beautiful Takis and volunteers. I assume God gave you this mission and I believe you do all of this very well…I hope we will meet some day.

    Only nervous because Takis was bothering him HAHA

    He will also be a mans dog as soon as he realises he is safe with them.
    We have 2 small dogs that wouldn't come near me or any men… but after 4 weeks i was their number one, introduced them to the men at work and trained the two chiwawa x mini poodles in a motorbike workshop turning big harley riding men into teddy bears when they pick them up for a cuddle haha

18. 'river will never be a mentally healthy dog. He wil need special care the rest of his life. And only a woman owner who knows what she's doing . Someone permanently damaged his psyche with untold cruelty no doubt.

22. River is much better than the first day he came to Takis Shelter but still afraid of men. He went through a lot. Thank God he ended up with Taki. At least no one will ever abuse him again. 🙏🏻❤️🐕

33. He's barking and protecting his area, but his tail isn't wagging- it is in a dropped position. Does that mean that he is also anxious? And while Takis has saved him, and he looks physically healthy and active, he is still not approaching when Takis calls him. Maybe I'm misreading the situation, but I think it is only when he responds and shows affection to Takis on a regular basis that he will be cured of his trauma.

    Regardless, Takis, you've done wonders. You have my vote for canonization. And then when you tell me to go to hell, you'll have God on your side.

He has had a terrible life of abandonment and cruelty…its clear it was a man who abused him..yes he is still wary of men..but the fact that he is ok with women is a step forward..he has his girlfriend and is happy..he looks so well with that weight gain..a very brave boy who is safe..is loved..has company and us happy with his life…All because of this wonderful self-less man named Takis..🇬🇧💕🙏✝️👍👏🐕🐾🐕🐾🇬🇷

43. I’m happy River is much better and he’s enjoying Brooke’s company. Brooke is such a calm, beautiful dog. I love that they have their own house together 🌸
