Kourtney Kardashian recalled undergoing a “terrifying” and “stressful” emergency fetal surgery last September while pregnant with her and Travis Parker’s child, Rocky.

Kourtney Kardashian is opening up about a scary moment in her pregnancy.
The Kardashians star — who welcomed son Rocky with husband Travis Barker in November — shared in the Season 5 premiere what happened before and after her emergency fetal surgery in September.
“We planned to do an at-home scan, so all the kids could see the baby,” she recalled in the May 23 episode. “The doctor that would come to the house to do the checkup is a high-risk doctor, and he’s really meticulous and in-depth into looking into everything. Something caught his attention where he wanted me to see a couple of specialists. After her appointments, she learned that she would need to have surgery on the baby in the morning,” she said. The next day, she described it as “terrifying” and “stressful.” Although Courtney did not share what anxiety was detected in the scan, she noted that it appeared quickly.
“The timing was miraculous,” the 45-year-old explained. “It saved everything.” “There’s nothing I did wrong,” my doctor says. It is not age related. It’s just a very rare thing that happened.” Travis, 48, had already left on his Blink-182 tour in Europe, so Kourtney called mum Kris Jenner to take her to hospital while the musician returned to the US.
“The terrible thing is that his WiFi is down on the plane,” Courtney said. “I was sending him updates and my mom was sending him updates. He couldn’t get anything and kept checking, like every two hours on the plane, ‘Can you reset the WiFi?’ By the time Travis landed, the reality star — who also shares children Mason Disick, 14, Penelope Disick, 11, and Reign Disick, 9, with ex Scott Disick — had already undergone the procedure because “they had to do it right away.” “.
Only then was Courtney able to address the scary situation.
“There’s a superpower I have, which is that in emergency situations, I feel really calm,” she continued. “And then right when we left, I was like, ‘Okay, I can take a deep breath. I can cry. I can let it out.'” For the remaining two months of her pregnancy, Kourtney said she lay on the floor and mostly stayed on bed rest.
“There’s a hole in the amniotic sac where they had to do the surgery,” she told Hulu cameras. “So, I’m not allowed to drive. I’m not allowed to stand for more than 20 minutes. I’m really not leaving the house.”
While the Poosh founder admits the surgery was a “shock” for the couple, she explained that they have always remained optimistic about their little one. “I feel so grateful for the way things turned out and for the doctors who really helped make the best decisions that really saved our baby,” she added. “After this happened, I said to myself: ‘God destined this. We are ok. “This is a miracle and we will be very positive.””
