2. What a great story , pity you couldn't converse with , but always being careful where children are involved deceitful entities can trick them ,no joke ,!

3. A woman I worked with said she was cleaning the woodwork in her home one morning, she was using Pledge, a product here in the States that comes in a spray can. She either had to use the restroom or the phone rang, but either way, when she came back, the can of Pledge was inverted and balancing on the small, white pushbutton. She had other experiences but this is one I remember well.

4. Not totally sure if it was real or not because I went through a stage in my disorder where I saw things that weren’t there but 3 times people were there and made hand gestures, no words

6. How can you not believe in ghosts when you had an experience like that?

7. yrs ago we lived in a old terrace my daughter would run ahead down to our house after school as kids do . one day she ran down n ran straight back to me screaming n crying clearly shook up , I asked what was up and she told she she had looked through the letterbox n said she saw a group of people sat round the dining table eating food but they all had scary faces. she was about 6 at the time. she's 32 now and still swears to this day that is what she saw. we used to hear odd noises but never saw anything.

8. When i was 16 i had a Greek boyfriend ! I used too sneak over and sleep in his room. One night his Mother caught us and was crying and obviously didtressed he told her to get out ( embarrased i suppose) we went back to sleep . He then started talking about a man in a soldiers uniform standing by the door. Knowing i was slinking around near a Army type ghost man patrolling the house it was freaky !

11. I remember reading about a ghost story years back where the witness said, after seeing ghosts in a room where a grisly murder had taken place, there was something wrong with time. Which sounds like the events were somehow on replay.

12. When I bought my first house, my sister came to help me paint. We were going to do the living room, dining room, and kitchen. I was in the living room when I saw my sister moving around in the bedroom. I called out, "Dana, what are you doing?" And she said, "Checking out this kitchen wall." I glanced toward the kitchen, then looked back in the bedroom, and no one was there.

    Ghosts are so cool.

13. My cousin's little boy said that he had seen his Papa waving in his bedroom window at him. Trouble was Papa had died two months previous, and the bedroom window was on the third floor.

18. I always say, “you don’t believe in ghosts, until you’ve seen one. Then, you’ll believe.” I have family members who can see them. We lived in a big old house once, Victorian, and my daughter saw the ghost of a woman more than once on the second floor. I never saw nor felt her. But my daughter senses them, too.

19. It really annoys me that the BBC puts this stuff on and gives it some kind of paranormal credence.

21. To anyone who hasn't already listened to the Uncanny and Uncanny USA podcasts, I really recommend them.
    The short tv series of Uncanny was also well worth watching; I hope that Danny makes more episodes (both tv and podcasts).
    I'm looking forward to hearing the final podcast of Uncanny USA on Tuesday.

23. What amazing accounts! Ive long known im not the type destined for gostly encounters. But I've never doubted their possibility. Frankly, im grateful most of these stories dont involve fear

24. I don't get this. So they were making a video call to each other and she saw the ghost behind his head? Could you do this on a mobile phone in 2012?

25. After this experience it seems 'ironically' irrational to say that he doesn't believe in ghosts.

26. It's so incredibly frustrating to hear people say they don't believe in ghosts and then tell the story about a ghost they or someone they love and trust has seen.

27. Why didn’t he confirm with his daughter if that is the man she saw behind her dad

28. I was about 14, weeks lived in an English village and I was riding my bike to meet a friend on a dark night. There was a churchyard to my left and a street light ahead. The churchyard wall was high and the ground was level with the top of it. I saw a lady walking towards me by the wall and when I drew level I turned to say hi, but there was no one there. I didn’t tell anyone because it was too weird. A couple of years later, my dad came in one night and said ‘the strangest thing just happened,’ and described the exact same thing happening to him. Creepy. However, if someone asked me now if I believed in ghosts I’d still be reluctant to say yes, because it’s a hard concept to grasp.

29. I had a similar experience when I I was selling my house, a neighbour came round [she had her 6 year old daughter with her] to hand something to my wife but my wife was out shopping. I was standing in the doorway talking to her about things in general and I happened to look down at her daughter and noticed her eyes looking up the stairway behind me and I quickly looked behind me as it looked like she had seen something but nothing was there. I continued talking to her mother explaining when my wife would be back and at that point the young girl said 'your not alone in the house as I can see a young girl at the top of your stair, who is she?' I laughed and her mother laughed and I reassured her I was the only person in the house but again she said 'I can see a young girl running around at the top of the stair', I turned and looked and still saw nothing and again reassured her no one was there. She then pointed and said 'She's there' It was at that point her mum said to her that we didn't have children so there couldn't be a child in the house, her mum then said we better get going but I wanted to ask her daughter a description of what she was seeing but her mum just wanted to go as she felt embarrased. I said it's ok for you I've got to go back into an empty house and she was laughing. I went back in and didn't feel anything odd. there was no strange noises or anything strange and never had been. It was a new build house and I had lived there for 8 years and felt nothing odd in that time. The strange thing was when I was 5 years old I saw a ghost of a young woman in my bedroom, stood and looked at her for around a minute and then ran downstairs to tell my mum (I only saw her once in the 20 years I lived there), so I firmly believe children can see things we can't [for what ever reason]. I totally believed the girl as I literally looked at her as her eyes were distracted by movement, I knew she wouldn't have done that as she didn't know I was looking at her. Just bizarre.

30. You would think they would at least find a photo of him with a moustache if they were going to talk shite.

31. My grandfather died when my mother was only 7. Fast forward 40 years my brother was going through a really tough divorce. His daughter was only about 4or5. After my grandmother died we were going through her pictures. She grabbed his picture all excited and said "this is the man who's been sitting in my bedroom!" she wasn't afraid or scared apparently it gave her comfort.

32. Day my dad passed we said our goodbyes and i went back to his house our family home . My dad was of ill health for a long time and we had the front room adapted for him all one level. I went back to clean the kitchen .I won't go into details and then settled on the sofa early hours to get a bit of sleep . Uncontrollable grief and sadness overwhelmed me . I was woken at about 6 am to the sound as we usually hear my dad feet patting across the kitchen floors to make a drink . I shouted are you OK???? Just to remember ..he wasn't. I was so sure he was in the kitchen
    Later that day we took his van while I travelled back to my home as we set off
    The overwhelming smell of brut aftershave and pipe tobacco overwhelmed the van
    . Travelling down the motorway twice I heard in my left ear it'll be OK you will be OK
    Miss my mum and dad every single day
