Today was a beautiful and also difficult day in Syria. We traveled all the way from Damascus to Aleppo in Northern Syria – along the way we saw so much war destruction, met incredible people, saw historical sites, and ate some delicious food. Today I’m sharing with you our food road trip in Syria.
► Thank you to Rami from Syrian Guides: https://syrianguides.com/
Here’s what we did:
Maaloula – After about an hour drive from Damascus, we arrived at the mountain town of Maaloula (where they still speak Aramaic), with so much history. First stop we went to Maaloula Manakeesh to eat some Manakeesh. Total price – 125,000 SYP ($8.33) for everything
Shuaa Restaurant – Along the highway we stopped to eat at this famous lamb restaurant. Total price – 350,000 SYP ($23.33) for everything
We continued driving to Homs, a city that was unfortunately hit very hard by the war. But people were in high spirits and we were greeted with kindness and hospitality.
Hama Lamp Kunafa – Finally we continued our journey to Hama, to eat a few essential Syrian foods in this historical city. We mainly tried batersh – roasted eggplant, ghee fried lamb. Total price – 550,000 SYP ($36.66) for everything
► Huge thank you to Rami, from Syrian Guides (https://syrianguides.com/), he arranged my entire trip to Syria. Get in touch with him for an amazing tour in Syria!

Christianity flourishing in Syria. This is what some in the west wanted to destroy. Many of the Western leaders wanted to hand the country over to savages. Remember the "white helmets".
Tell me something bro. I lived through a 14 year civil war 😢😢
جولة جميلة جدا شكرا لكم ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Citrusness 😅❤….perfect!
Hello to your Beautiful wife and Son ❤
Most beautiful country in the world 🇸🇾

It's great to see journalism from places people ignore.
This war is a crime against Syrian people from America and the Sionists. Thank you, Mark for showing the reality of life for people in Syria.
Would have been very cool to visit, before Obama.
Amazing review!!! History AND fabulous food!!
I am Syrian and I cannot return to my country for fear of arrest from the criminal dictatorial regime that used chemical weapons to kill us and destroyed our homes with indiscriminate bombing. Now I see YouTubers visiting my country to collect views and likes, but no one remembers our tragedy. Eight million refugees, a million and a half killed, and more than a million in prisons
Mark I've been watching your channel for yrs now but this this was fantastic fantastic I 👏
I would live travel to syria one day to witness their great civilisation.
Super Food Bro🍗🍗🍗
Hi Mark, since you are in the neighborhood, come and visit Lebanon again. Let your viewers know about the war in Southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. God bless you and I hope you decide to come and try Kisshik, Makdous, and kibbie niyya.
Today picture syria as a majority of Christian then after 10 years invade us using them as excuse 😒 (they are our friends and neighbors but rami have a dirty way to show syria)
The guy in the blue suit looks like a security guard. Stands and stares 😂😂
Please also tell the world how bad the electricity situation is, and the water. The pollution. It is incredibly hard for the poorest people.
Free Syria ❤❤❤❤
This is a lie, my friends. You are not safe at all in Syria. As a Syrian, I would like to tell you that the murderous Syrian government is carrying out a campaign to polish its image in front of tourists and strengthen its economy. I live in Syria currently, and there is no guarantee that you will not be bombed by the parties to the conflict, even though that is not very common, but The Russian forces that are bombing Ukraine are spread here, and Iranian terrorists are also…but what you may not believe is that the Syrian government is the cause of all this destruction, but this tour guide will not be able to say that, otherwise the government will execute him. You can see that in his eyes… Yes, yes, the Syrian people are very friendly and kind, but this is not the right time, my friends
Ada indomie d sana
Thank you for sharing this beautiful country. The people are the best amazing food.
Dear Mark, Thank you for sharing this awesome tour of Syria and the resilience, kindness, and generosity of the Syrian people. ♥
God bless the Syrian people. I'm not sure why but I just assumed Syria had been totally destroyed. I'm glad to see there is still life. Their food looks interesting and yum…. I'm surprised though at the high calorie foods they eat. It seems every country you go to has their own high calorie foods. It's not just western culture that has this.
This all is done by Americans
waiting for you in aleppo
Hello my friend Mark, I hope you will visit the city of Deir ez-Zor. The best kebab skewers are found in Syria and the Middle East because they are made manually without using modern machines, as well as the Deir ez-Zor okra for which Deir ez-Zor is famous.
It’s paratha
Hey mark,
As a syrian who is a refugee in another place, i really like the content and at each place you are visiting I'm retrieving back a memory in that place. And iut of nowhere tears starts to fall.
One day though ….
That's how USA policy doing to other countries to devolppe her own land by destroying and massacre.
Not only does Mark introduce us to different cuisines, but he also gives us history lessons as well.🙏♥️
