  1. I rhink parkour is the best base, you can evade from mosr kind of troubles.

People must remember that there's no such rhing as a street fight. You have no control when it starts, you have no idea if the other person is armed, you don't know if other people will get involved. Once you're in you might not be able to get out of it.
Don't do it, im 99% of cases you can avoid it.

  2. Best self defense is to talk at the same pace and with the same enthusiasm as this guy. Your opponent will forget what even led to the altercation and now yā€™all can just go have a beer instead

  3. Easy to say mma, but mixed martial arts are not a discipline, more a rule to allow a fighter to deliver all his arsenal of striking and grappling, not easy to make a chart but picking up single martial arts i would say: 1-Muay Thai 2-BJJ 3-Sambo grappling/combat 4-Judo 5-Wrestling 6-Boxing 7-Kyokushinkai Karate my favourite mixed cross training with striking/grappling are Muay Thai/BJJ and Wrestling/Boxing plus a good training in ground and pound

  4. if you wish to learn how to defend yourself asap, it depends on how many options are available, assuming you can't pick "mma", 1 option available: combat sambo, 2 options available (1 for grappling, 1 for striking): boxing and judo, 3 options available (within mma): boxing, wrestling and jiu-jitsu … I think those are your best bets for short term self defence

  5. Itā€™s not rocket science really. Best way to get good at fighting is by fighting, so unless youā€™re going out looking for fights in bars every night then sparring and competition is the best way to achieve this.

  6. The main issues with street fights is that you donā€™t have nice mat to land on BJJ, judo, wrestling could workā€¦ landing on concrete potentially seriously damaging yourself or the opponent.
A front kick pushing off the opponent and get running the heck out of there.
Also if itā€™s just you vs a bunch of guys sod thatā€¦

  7. This was such a professional answer. He didn't throw any martial art under the bus and he also didn't promote the martial art that he himself is practicing.
