SAFEST WAY to PUNCH First in Street Fights
Spread The Viralist

There’s two parts to this video. First we explain why you shouldn’t walk backwards in self defence. Second we look at how and where to punch if someone is getting in your personal space.

  1. Perfect video. As a teenager my sensei devoted at least one lesson a month on the art of stopping fights before they could get a good start. And as an undersized sophomore I used this exact technique on a much larger and older classmate harassing me and my girlfriend. Worked brilliantly. Thank you Robert Jenkins (RIP).

  2. You don't have to draw your fist back first, either. Thrown with the correct weight shift/hip rotation, as you did, that generates more than enough force to drop anyone to their knees. Not drawing your fist back first, you gain a full tenth of a second more. Think: has anyone ever seen Mike Tyson or Bruce Lee, basically the two master punchers, pull back their fist before throwing a punch?

  3. While the solar plexus is a great place to punch someone, be aware if you have let an attacker into your attack zone your already screwed if they can fight, best option is front kick to the lower thigh or knee, in MMA we call this an oblique kick. The oblique kick is probably the hardest kick to block or see coming and the best street kick bc it usually destroys the opponents knee rendering them helpless.

  4. A vertical bladed fist while stepping on the toes of the individual's right foot allows you to put your back muscles into knocking the wind out of the opponent and taking him off balance. This can be followed up with the weak hand grabbing the rear of the shoulder, bringing the strong hand into the armpit to do a pivot into a half Nelson or rear wrist lock to control the individual and potentially end the fight without any serious injury.

  5. F that, I’m a smaller guy and I never look for a fight. But being smaller means the fight comes to you. Call it a cheap shot or whatever but I aim for the groin. After that I go for the neck. I gotta let his friends know I mean business so they don’t try to jump me. The neck shot usually leaves the guy looking for help so his friends are trying to help him instead of coming for me. But if they still try to jump me, I run away really fast but keep my eye out for a bottle or something else that can be used as a weapon in case they catch me. Thank god I’m older now and I haven’t got into a fight in 20 plus years.

  6. Erm …. NEVER 'punch first' … idiotic advice, one must always look for self defence.

Whilst America might be the world's most fooked up nation, in Europe where we have sensible laws .. Never punch first.

  7. Solarmplexus ounch only worms if your opponent is weak, and hopefully off-guard.
Nobody wins a street fight against a strong aggressor by hitting his solar plexus it just makes him mad and disables one of your arms because its down low so he has 2 arms to attack your head and you have only 1 arm to defend your head

  8. Fuckin stupid. Punch someone in the chest hoping to perfectly touch such a small and specific part of the ribcage instead of targeting the head

    Idiocy

  9. Sounds like pad under the shirt for less damage, but good power in those punches. That’s key. I remember a bouncer, friend of mine, got kicked 5-6 times by a light weight martial artist. Didn’t feel a thing and gave him the bum’s rush out the door .! These are good videos . Thank you !

  10. I did a flying king fu kick into a huge guys solaplex…he is much bigger than me and I remember coming DOWN on him because I jumped to high.
