  1. It's not really about touching it, it's about inhalation. I've seen people touch plenty of fentanyl with no gloves, and no problems. BUT when you're working with the stuff over longer periods of time what tends to happen is it is very light and fluffy, so it easily disperses in the air, similar to spores or dust, and you may not even realize you're breathing it… I've known drug dealers who ended up in hospital because they didn't wear a mask while bagging it up over a period of 30 min – 60 min.
If you even tap the surface it's on, you'll see plumes of smoky dust kick up into the air… almost invisible after a second or two, so very easy to accidentally breathe in and suffer OD, or typical opiate side-effects such as nausea, lightheadedness, heaviness in limbs, sleepiness & vomiting in severe cases.

  2. He probably inhaled it or had a nocebo since we are made to fear a grain of fentanyl is enough to drop a man even though there’s no scientific evidence for that being the case

  3. A lot of controversy around this topic, but simply touching or whiffing fentanyl will not cause you to OD or pass out. Whatever the case is here with this officer is, fentanyl did not cause it. Many disabled people who are prescribed this medication are often left unhelped by the police in dire circumstances because of this false belief by officers when it comes to fentanyl.

  4. Touching fent does not cause this lol. Also that is not what an overdose looks like. My sister was an addict for 6 years. I have touched fentanyl with my bare hands on several occasions. I’ve also watched as she overdosed and they just go to sleep. There is none of
What he was doing. At best; he threw himself in a panic

  5. Lol drug propaganda. I promise you simply research will show you touching fentanyl doesn't immediately make you OD, you don't NEED a glove or mask when handling fentanyl. Unless you have open wounds or cuts on ur hands that are fresh you should be fine. But hey the false information seems to be working and scaring people to the point of panic attacks & passing out.

  6. I started doing drugs since my teenage. Got addicted to fentanyl for over 6 years. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 2 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

  7. Maybe theyre disturbing dust and inhaling it would ge into the bloodsteam fast. I have a really awful medical condition and can get really sick from many chemicals jusy touchinf my skin I can go into anaphalactic shock. Wouldnt wabt to risk touching fet though

  8. Why are media outlets still reporting these panic attack incidents as actual overdoses? Every expert has said these reactions are psychosomatic.

  9. This Fentanyl is the worst drug in the world ! It's more dangerous that Mustard Gas, or some nerve gas ! This has to stop !

  10. This is FALSE INFORMATION.
You cannot overdose from touching fentanyl. As a recovering addict if “touching” fentanyl was a method of using rather than destroying my body using intravenous needles I would have most definitely taken that route. This kind of false information should be illegal to post. Shame on you.

  11. Ive heard many say these stories were fake, but I never looked into it much. Many things came to mind when watching this; for starters, like others said, hes wearing gloves, meaning he got a whiff of airborn substance. That in itself seems difficult to believe, but if such is the case, all of the officers who ran in and leaned over his, helping him, would have undoubtedly been affected at least somewhat. Another thing that seems a little off, is that this video feel much less like a legitimate news story, and more like a covert ad read for narcan. Naxalone is the name of the actual drug, narcan is the brand name that owns the current patent for it. Its like if they were discussing hydrocorone on the news in a good way, but they repeatedly called it Vikadin, and displayed vikadin brand bottles while discussing it. Whether this was faked for advertising narcan, or whether narcan simply jumped at opportunity to bride the news station into the mentions, both seem incredibly unethical from a medican standpoint.
