  2. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. (Psalms 14:1-4)

  3. The USS Harper Ferry started to steer Starboard but the Momsen started Port so she really had no choice. I don't see this being Harpers Ferry's fault unless it had something to do with actions occuring before this video.

  4. “You told them to always pass on the right…..They both went left, didn’t they.…….You will have their papers on my desk immediately admiral….”

  5. Port (side) to port (side) is standard practice around the world based on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.

  6. Ah the old game of chicken. I can’t imagine how that went down.
    “Hey bro. Wanna play chicken?”
“You can’t play chicken with battleships! You’ll be courtmartialed!” “Nah, I’ll probably get chewed out. I been chewed out before.”

  7. haha … boring … go sailing in tourist season – anywhere actually – you are in for the dumbest stuff happening at sea … I always had good trainers, and I for sure do a lot of mistakes – nobody is perfect – and I know my limits – but what people do with boats is just insane and makes you wonder who hands out the licenses some times …

  8. This is actually called a “Military Right” , not everything is orthodox, critical, forward and abstract thinking, during operations. Anchors ⚓️ aweigh

  9. The investigation
Investigator: did you steer towards the left?

Sailor: yes sir. It was a logical maneuver or else if we would of turned right then we would of crashed into the ship.

Investigator: I'm sorry, but do I hear you making excuses?

Sailor: NNNNooo??? It was the most logical maneu……

Investigator: Son, we don't do things logically here in the navy, we do what's right. Not left, not down, and not up, juuuusssst right.

  10. This is normal, ship’s passing in narrow channels wait until the last minute to turn as the pressure differential helps them pass without hitting each other or running aground. Casual Navigation made a good video explaining it

  11. That procedure would all depend upon the circumstances at the time . That passage looked very active with other non military traffic. Both ships had to avoid all of the other vessels and avoid groundings. They timed the turns precisely. Both ships had personnel checking the surrounding waters for any possible danger including other vessels.👀👀👀👀

  12. Doesn't that seem obvious? To steer away from the incoming objects? Are you for real those are our navy defense? Why do we even need radar and encrypted comms system if you almost hit each other in plain eyesight.
