  1. Nooo, not Glimmer… I am bawling my eyes out righ now. He was looking so good since you all got the ear warts gone. I have followed you all along because of him. My heart is just utterly broken..

  2. I am saddened to hear about Glimmer. But so glad he got to spend his last years with you. I learned the cruelty of big lick thru you guys. I don't live in Tennessee nor do I own a horse or know any horse people but I have shared with my family the horror done to these horses. Horrific cruelty at its finest. These are not people who love animals or horses. These are egotistical people who use animals to achieve what they think is fame among the rest of their kind. Disgusting. My heart goes out to all of you.😢😢

  3. 😢 I’m very sorry about glimmer!! You all gave him his best life. You guys never gave up on him. I know he appreciated your love. You are all amazing. You guys are true hero’s. Thank you 🙏

  4. My heart breaks for all of you at Horse Plus! Glimmer was such a magnificent ambassador for your cause of ending the “Big Lick”. What he endured while being shown in that horrific nightmare was unimaginable. Run free Glimmer, run free. Clant is with you again! Our hearts are broken.

  9. Glimmer was so very lucky to have found happiness at Horse Plus. He was gorgeous. He at least had some quality time with friends, good food, fresh water, health care and comfort. No torture as before. He is with Clint now and you can bet they are both happy! As for Honey, thank God she has a chance of leading a healthy, happy life. I hope she isn't picked on by other donkeys. If she is, she might be harder to place. Great job all around to everyone at Horse Plus!

  11. So sorry to hear about sweet boy Glimmer 😢 At least his last years were spent being doted on. He got to experience gentleness & lots of loves from everyone. RIP Sweet Boy Glimmer 🩵🐎🌈

  12. our 1st pony was a Shetland /Tennessee Walker mix Twinkle looked like a shetland in winter and a gaited sawed off Tennessee in summer. he used to play tag with us in the yard. miss him to this day

  13. I sent Parman Tractor & Equipment an email thanking then for their generous donation. I also thanked them publicly on Facebook. They are deserving of praise for their kindness. Maybe others would like to do the same?.

  14. Aw… this poor sweet little donkey Honey. It's heartbreaking to think of what she has had to endure in her lifetime. I hope she is absolutely soaking up every second of the badly needed TLC she's receiving now by HPHS's amazing medical team.. It's so so sad to see her in such poor condition, and that the owners didn't do the right thing and protect her and give her the wound care she needed. I will never understand people that keep animals but then don't give them proper care. It's maddening.

Okay… tissues please! Hugs to everyone who knew and loved Glimmer. I'm very sorry for this painful heartbreaking loss. Many grieve alongside all of you. Take comfort in knowing what a wonderful life he was able to enjoy after Clant and HPHS saved him from his horriblly abusive beginning.. RIP dear Glimmer. Run free

  15. Where are you all at in regards to getting "big lick" stopped? I think my recollection is bad as I thought it was supposed to end this year. There are so many people on tiktok promoting this practice and trying to convince people it's all just fine. I am so very sorry for your loss. Glimmer was truly a majestic ambassador!!

  16. I'm so sad to hear that Glimmer had to have the last act of kindness. His story will continue to be heard if we all stand up for these tortured souls. He was shown the kindness and love that he deserved at the shelter. I will always remember him. RIP Glimmer.

  17. I've never heard of "big lick". How absolutely inhumane!! Doesn't Tennessee have laws against animal cruelty? I mean, you guys are in Tennessee and get animals from the police, right? So, what's going on here? Of course, I'll help in whatever way I can to get this practice outlawed.

  18. So sorry about Glimmer. I don’t understand why they do that to those horses. My Mom had a Tennessee Walker and she said he had the best gates! It was all natural. The people that do that should be put in chains. Why isn’t the Tennessee Walker Association doing something about this? I was called in to help with a Paint show to take urine samples at their show. They take stuff seriously with their breed! The stuff I heard what they the owners do is appalling!! Tie their heads up so that the keep their head low, cut the nerves in the tail just so they don’t swish at a fly! …and more! It breaks my heart on what lengths people go through just to flipping win! At least the Paint association did something about it!! So should the Tennessee association, and others. J/S
Train your horse correctly and you won’t need to do these horrific acts!
Thank you for all you do.

  19. I love Emilys title of Animal Snuggler. That poor Jenny she should have had her own area there was plenty of space I don't understand why people leave it so long before getting help for their animals 🤯 RIP Glimmer Im glad you had chance to be just a horse and not a toy to be abused you were loved by us all 💔

  20. Oh No not Glimmer, That is beyond sad news its devastating but you guys are true to your word and your word is your bond, whatever is best for the patient and Glimmer deserves the best, even if it means saying goodbye x

  21. So sorry to hear about Glimmer.. Glad he’s finally able to rest easy after all his HARD work advocating for equine rights. ❤❤

  22. Honestly. Truthfully. I worked with horses, they were my passion. I did all the exams plus instructor exams but even after many years working with all kinds of sport horses in the uk I was unfulfilled.

So I went into working gundog competition , my breed the English Working Golden Retriever. Went to the top but still not happy.

Anyway. Way down the line, I have watched you, it feels like forever.

I now know, 40 years too late, that I would have thrived working with your two amazing vets. Such such hard but amazing work ❤

Glimmer. WTF. After all the work to clear the ears last year. WTF. That is totally heartbreaking. Poor soul. But loved until his end ❤
