This woman noticed a stray cat following her and she stopped to play with the cat. Realizing that the cat was pregnant the woman immediately went and get her some food. However, after feeding the cat still kept following her so she decided to that if the cat follow her all the way home, she would adopt her.
The cat kept looking back every few steps as if worrying that she wouldn’t be able to find her way back. They were close to the woman’s apartment when the cat heart sounds of kids playing and got distracted so she ran off.
The woman quickly went to get her cat bag and came back to the pregnant cat. But the cat was nowhere in sight. She tried searching for it but couldn’t find her. For one week, she carried around cat food just in case she saw the cat again and she did, one week later, she found the pregnant cat rummaging through garbage trying to find something to eat so she got the cat mother something. Then, she had a kind little girl watch over the cat while she went and get her cat backpack.
When she return, the cat was thankfully still there and she took the cat home. The cat was scared so she would always hide whenever the woman isn’t around. And the woman would have to lure her out with food. However, slowly the cat got more used to the new place and stopped hiding. However, the woman was still frustrated because the cat hasn’t given birth yet.
So, she took the cat to the vet who told her that sometimes cat would delay giving birth if they are at a new environment they aren’t familiar with. So the woman decided to stay up all night with the cat that night. To make her feel safer. Perhaps, due to the woman’s kindness, the cat felt safe enough to give birth and by dawn, she entered labor and gave birth to 6 healthy kittens.
The woman was going to give away the kittens but the cat mother seems to love her kids a lot. She would always leave the best food for her kittens and only eating what’s left.
